"The bathroom fan came on automatically with the light, and it was so loud that it woke anyone trying to sleep. Breakfast wasn't that good. Shop around for a more pleasant hotel experience.2016-11-16"

"Excellent location within walking distance of everything. The room was clean, and the employees were polite and welcoming.2020-01-06"
"Convenient to the conference center and some good restaurants. The hotel had no character, though the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful with information about the property. I had trouble with the key card, but once I got in the room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality. The lounge and work areas were adequate. It took 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower, though, and the sink didn't have cold water. Breakfast was plentiful and OK, but it was the same every day and the dining area didn't have enough seating. Great happy hour. The business center and pool area were fine. My biggest disappointment was that renovations were underway during my stay.2019-09-30"
"Great location. Our 2-room suite was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen allowed us the option of cooking and staying in. Enjoy your hotel stay.2019-02-04"
"An excellent experience. I recommend this hotel.2021-07-13"
"The hotel was old, but it was OK. The room was small. OK for an overnight stay.2018-03-18"
"The hotel had the potential to be nice, but it was worn. The room was painted lilac, which was off-putting. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable, but the furniture reminded me of a hospital. Nice bathroom. The staff was pleasant.2017-06-09"
"Walk to the WWII Museum. The hotel employees were friendly, accommodating, and informative. Loved the valet parking.2018-01-09"
"A nice, clean hotel. Be prepared to walk quite a few blocks to get to Canal Street or the French Quarter.2016-09-04"
"The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Everything was great. The room was clean, and the staff was professional. Good restaurant. An excellent choice.2015-09-13"
"Perfect location with access to Mardi Gras parades. The hotel was old but refurbished. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and security was great. All the employees were nice and helpful, and the restaurant was decent. We were able to securely leave our luggage after checkout. I'd definitely stay here again.2019-03-12"
"Great customer service. I enjoyed my stay and have recommended this hotel to family and friends.2018-08-28"
"The hotel had big cockroaches, the employees weren't helpful with area information, and only expensive valet parking was available.2017-07-31"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
