"The hotel was nasty, grimy, and grim. The sign was small, and there were about a dozen people smoking in front. The pillows were the size of footballs, and the bathroom was appalling. The front desk clerks were indifferent, but the maintenance men who came to fix the TV were nice. Stay somewhere else.2019-05-06"
"Nice hotel with spacious rooms. The mattresses were too firm. Guests had to call the clerk to open the parking gate after hours; depending on where the clerk was, the wait could be a bit long. There was construction going on in front of the building.2016-01-04"
"The hotel building was historic, and there was no elevator. Nice, clean room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice continental breakfast with a variety of choices.2015-10-21"
"Comfortable room, great service, and yummy breakfast. Stay at this hotel.2015-10-20"

"Excellent location within walking distance of everything. The room was clean, and the employees were polite and welcoming.2020-01-06"
"Convenient to the conference center and some good restaurants. The hotel had no character, though the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful with information about the property. I had trouble with the key card, but once I got in the room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality. The lounge and work areas were adequate. It took 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower, though, and the sink didn't have cold water. Breakfast was plentiful and OK, but it was the same every day and the dining area didn't have enough seating. Great happy hour. The business center and pool area were fine. My biggest disappointment was that renovations were underway during my stay.2019-09-30"
"Great location. Our 2-room suite was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen allowed us the option of cooking and staying in. Enjoy your hotel stay.2019-02-04"
"I heard some noise in my 1st floor hotel room. Breakfast was average. I had to pay $38 to park my car at a lot several blocks away.2017-09-24"
"Decent hotel near the cruise terminal and restaurants. Nice room.2017-06-20"
"Great location. My hotel room was beautiful, and the service was wonderful. My only complaint was that I had to pay for breakfast and it was horrible. Other than that, this is the perfect place to stay.2018-03-22"
"Convenient to doctor appointments. The hotel was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Good place to stay.2017-07-02"
"This hotel is the best-kept secret in New Orleans. I loved it. It's in a quiet area, and the staff was absolutely fabulous. Stay here.2016-10-11"
"I loved not having to drive while I stayed at this hotel. The room was beautiful. Convenient to the hospital.2016-05-28"
"Not a great location, and there was a lot of construction in the area. Convenient to Oschner Hospital, though. The room was nice, clean, and larger than I expected. The hotel lobby was nice. The parking garage was a big perk, though the walk to the room was long. 2015-11-12"
"Perfect location with access to Mardi Gras parades. The hotel was old but refurbished. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and security was great. All the employees were nice and helpful, and the restaurant was decent. We were able to securely leave our luggage after checkout. I'd definitely stay here again.2019-03-12"
"Great customer service. I enjoyed my stay and have recommended this hotel to family and friends.2018-08-28"
"The hotel had big cockroaches, the employees weren't helpful with area information, and only expensive valet parking was available.2017-07-31"
"The housekeepers did a great job, and the staff was nice. Fast valet parking service. I had an awesome stay at this hotel.2015-09-01"
"Great service, but the noise from other rooms was a bit bothersome. The hotel staff was polite and accommodating, and there were restaurants within walking distance.2021-07-19"
"I was given a room upgrade upon arrival, which was nice. The hotel room was clean, and the employees were pleasant. The driveway scraped the undercarriage of my car every time I entered and left.2018-09-06"
"Convenient location. The room was clean and the employees were nice, but they seemed to be in a state of confusion. We didn't get rooms near each other as requested. We went for brunch in the restaurant, and though it was nearly empty, it took over 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Don't stay at this hotel until renovations are done.2016-01-05"
"Good experience. Easy access to I-10, City Hall, the Superdome, and French Quarter. The hotel was affordable, safe, and clean. The toilet in my room didn't flush, so I had to change rooms. Good front desk service. There was an exercise room, vending machines, and breakfast and parking were free. I'll stay again and recommend it.2020-02-08"
"The price was right, but the hotel room wasn't in great shape. Not all the lights worked. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off, the caulking needed to be replaced, there was dirty in the corners, and a hole in the wall behind the door that was cleverly hidden by a scrap of wallpaper. The bed was comfortable.2016-10-25"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
