Door County is a peninsula in eastern Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. Washington Island lies off its north shore and is only accessible by boat or ferry.
The area boasts beautiful scenery and outdoor activities ranging from snowshoeing in the winter to canoeing in the summer. Door County is also known for its bountiful cherry orchards that bloom in the spring and produce the tart fruit in the summer.
