Eastsound is located on Orcas Island, one of the San Juan Islands. The San Juan Islands are located on Washington's northwestern shore near the Canadian border and are accessible only by ferry or plane.

• Anacortes Hotels, Motels – approximately 1 hour 45 minutes southeast of Eastsound. This includes 12 miles of drive time and a one hour and ten minute-ferry ride from Orcas Island Terminal to Anacortes Terminal.
