"Clean hotel, but the service was terrible. I waited 11 minutes for a clerk to come to the front desk so I could check in. A large group of people had a party and walked through the lobby in their swimsuits, dripping water all over. There was a BBQ going on in the parking lot. I took a burned out lightbulb to the front desk to get a replacement, and again had a long wait before someone came to assist me. I went down later to get a bottle of water, but no one was at the desk to take my money. I wouldn't stay here again.2015-07-03"

To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
