"Walk to the Metro. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated having a kitchenette with a dishwasher and full fridge. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the sofa bed came in handy. I enjoyed the breakfast. I'd stay here again.2019-09-08"
"I was disappointed that the pool was closed for the season. The sofa was stained. The only soda available was downstairs, and just one cost $3.50. Breakfast was good.2016-09-27"
"Not a good value. The hotel room had zero supplies; we had to make numerous trips to get basic necessities like toilet paper, coffee, and cups. The microwave didn't work well. Find another place to stay.2021-08-26"
"Conveniently located - room was clean and quiet - front desk staff was attentive - continental breakfast ended too early - a pleasant stay.2012-05-01"
"The hotel clerk was welcoming, gracious, friendly, and helpful. The phone in my room didn't work, and he made arrangements to get it working. It couldn't be fixed, so I was moved to another room with no difficulty. The lobby had an energetic vibe, and the welcome cookies and infused water were nice touches.2023-06-22"
"Great experience. The room was kept clean at all times, and the WiFi was excellent. The employees were friendly. Don't hesitate to stay at this wonderful hotel.2019-12-23"
"Great hotel with friendly, accommodating personnel.2019-06-18"
"The hotel and room weren't up to my standards, but the customer service was good. Find your own parking spot instead of paying $52 per night; there was lots of parking around.2022-08-27"
"The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Stay here.2020-07-01"
"The hotel was quiet and clean, and we loved the history. The lighting was too dim, though. The staff was friendly and informative.2018-04-17"
"The hotel was in a great neighborhood. The room was fine, but the hallways and elevator could've been cleaner. We didn't realize we needed to reserve parking at the same time as making the room reservation, so we ended up having to use a parking lot about a block away.2022-08-17"
"Convenient to GWU. Our experience was positive. The entire hotel was clean, including our room, and all the employees were helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the attached restaurant, Chef Geoff.2021-11-11"
"Great customer service at this hotel, but I had some issues. The toilet leaked water on the bathroom floor, and the shower had poor water pressure. I had recurring and irritating trouble with the key card, and the elevator couldn't be used without it. 2017-06-21"

"Great location near many museums. The hotel was comfortable, housekeeping was perfect, and the service was excellent. I recommend staying here.2018-11-22"
"The hotel was quite expensive. There was a lot of traffic in the area, but also much within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the employees were friendly and helpful. The food at the cafe was delicious, and the valet service was pricey but excellent.2018-06-12"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
