"The AC was old and the air smelled bad, and the furniture in the room was cheap. The bedspread was terrible, and the towels were old and scratchy. Breakfast ended too early. We had a terrible experience and left the motel early.2015-08-19"
"The hotel was clean and quiet. Friendly staff and great amenities. We were given a room upgrade, and the staff accommodated our special needs child and her service dog. We loved our suite; it had great TVs with awesome channel options. We enjoyed the indoor pool and gym, and the yummy breakfast. There was a smoking area in front of the hotel. There were restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance.2021-05-24"
"I heard large dogs barking half the night, so I didn't sleep well. Poor customer service. Don't stay at this hotel.2016-06-25"
"Good hotel overall, but it was understaffed. The clerk was courteous and helpful, but there was a considerable wait at check-in since there was only one person on duty. The room was comfortable and clean.2023-04-06"
"Great experience. The staff was super friendly. I'd stay at this hotel again.2018-07-24"
"The motel was too noisy, and smoke came in my room from next door. I was given a handicap room and had to bend over to see my face in the mirror while I shaved. The TV reception was poor.2017-06-26"
"Good rates. My non-smoking motel room had bugs and smelled like smoke. The bathroom was old and didn't have counter space for toiletries. Breakfast was limited and not very good. OK for a last-minute layover, but not for a lengthy stay.2016-07-19"
I loved that HotelGuides helped me find a hotel. You can try to search for one yourself, but this service was so helpful. Just click on the section of the Interstate you are driving on and you see a list of hotels that actually have rooms available.
On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
