"Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. Just a few miles from Arlington National Cemetery and the Vietnam Memorial, but allow at least 30 minutes travel time due to traffic. The room was clean, and the staff was extremely pleasant and readily assisted when I had a request. The free shuttle within a 1-mile radius was a plus, and the driver recommended a fantastic restaurant. The parking garage was also a plus. The only negative is that we had to pay for water and coffee.2018-04-07"

"Close to the Metro station and Arlington Cemetery. This hotel was a great value for the area.2016-06-29"
"The hotel staff was helpful, even with my unusual request for a strand of electrical wire. Not many restaurants in the area.2016-06-02"
"The hotel staff was superb, and helpful in every aspect of our stay. You won't be disappointed here.2015-05-28"
"Clean room and nice, helpful personnel. Stay at this hotel.2017-05-24"
"The room was dirty and right across from the noisy vending and ice machines. There were bugs in the bathroom, and the ceiling had signs of water damage. No breakfast option. The parking garage was dark and dingy, and the door lock to the elevator didn't work. Good rates, but pay more for a better hotel.2016-07-26"
"The staff found my wife's wallet in the room, and it was returned to us intact. Try this hotel.2015-09-22"
"The hotel location was somewhat remote and definitely noisy. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Good for an overnight stay in DC.2015-08-30"
"The AC worked, and my room had the most comfortable bed ever. Some TV channels had poor reception. I liked the microwave and refrigerator. The hotel staff was friendly.2015-06-25"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
