"Nice room, but the TV didn't work, and we had trouble with the AC. The hotel clerk called maintenance, and the issues were resolved. Then the light by the front door burned out, and there was no switch on the lamp. The maintenance man returned and again fixed the problems. Housekeeping changed the bedsheets every day. The staff was friendly, polite, helpful, and respectful. Good breakfast. We'd stay here again.2019-09-03"
"The hotel was very dated, and had broken, dangerous steps.2015-05-20"

"Not worth the price. The hotel exterior looked nice, but the interior smelled bad. The TV didn't work, and there was hair in the bathtub. No food service. Look elsewhere.2021-04-20"
"Quiet area. The hotel room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Ask for a room away from the elevator.2018-11-19"
"This hotel was a good value. The beds were comfortable. The bathtub faucet leaked, and the caulking was falling apart.2016-07-04"
"This hotel was awful from start to finish. The front desk staff was rude, and the promised action from management never happened.2016-02-25"
"The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Great front desk clerks, and we loved the cookies that were delivered to our room door. The breakfast food wasn't good. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel.2015-07-22"
"A higher-end hotel with nice rooms and great employees. But the exterior needed work. The fountain didn't work, and the area around it was littered with trash. The flags on the overhead canopy were shredded, and several lights were flickering. No on-site restaurant, but there were many options within walking distance, and there was a light rail stop right behind the hotel. Parking cost $15 per night.2020-10-12"
"My hotel stay went well until some sort of banging noise started sounding in the walls. The staff was friendly, as was the wait staff in the dining room.2015-05-01"
"This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The suite was beautifully laid out and altogether comfortable. Good breakfast included. I recommend staying here.2023-03-14"
"The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.2016-11-21"
"There was no heat in the 1st room, so we were moved to a room that was too warm. It was spacious enough and OK other than the heater issue. The hotel restaurant was good.2016-12-18"
"Close to UTD, and there were many restaurants within a 5-mile radius. I was pleased with my stay at this hotel.2015-08-24"
"Minutes from Plano's Central Market. My hotel room was immaculate. All the employees were cheerful, helpful, courteous, and professional. I was impressed with the Neutrogena toiletries. Check-in and checkout couldn't have been easier. The guest computers are old, so bring your own laptop. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Highly recommend this hotel.2015-03-31"
"The hotel was adequate for the price and suited my needs. It was quiet, but the highway next to it was not. The room was clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again, but I'd bring ear plugs.2019-10-03"
"The motel room was dark and dirty. I was itching all night, and in the morning, I found a bug moving on the bed. There was dust in the AC fan. Someone knocked on the door and asked me to money. Not a safe or comfortable place; don't recommend.2015-06-13"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
