"Reasonably priced. Quiet motel and clean room. I felt safe. The towels were old and needed to be replaced. Friendly personnel. Our stay was good.2015-09-24"
"The hotel was close to the cruise ship terminal. Large, clean, quiet room. Easy check-in.2016-02-14"
"Close to Bistro restaurant, and just four miles from the pier; good location if you're going on a cruise. The room was ready and clean, and we were welcomed with big smiles. Breakfast was plentiful.2015-11-22"
"Nice motel, and the rates were reasonable. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the AC worked well despite the 100 degree weather. Good customer service at check-in and checkout. Breakfast was OK. You'll be pleased.2022-06-14"
"The motel was nice and clean. I'll stay here again.2021-05-10"
"The motel appeared to be clean, but I saw a small roach crawling on the nightstand, which made my stay uncomfortable.2018-06-17"
"The 1st room was dirty and had roaches in the bathroom. There was food under the bed, and the door didn't lock from the inside. We were moved to a cleaner room the 2nd night, but the carpet was worn. Nice hotel clerks. Not a good place to stay.2016-06-21"
"You get what you pay for. Not much in the area, and there was no view. Breakfast wasn't good. Spend a little more and stay at a nicer hotel.2017-11-08"
"The room was clean, and the employees were friendly and professional. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.2017-06-02"
"I enjoyed my stay very much. I especially liked the lightweight bedspreads. Great accommodations, especially for a pet-friendly hotel. I'd stay again and recommend it.2017-05-22"
"The hotel needed upgrading. The AC was great and the room was clean, but it was a little shabby. There were multiple torn lampshades, and the bed sagged on one side. Holes in the walls were patched but unfinished. Got a little bar of soap and rough towels. Good staff, though.2015-06-14"

"We booked 2 hotel rooms, and both had some small roaches in the bathrooms and around the fridges. The beds were comfortable. Friendly staff and good breakfast.2016-06-06"
"The hotel was dirty and run-down. Needs remodeling and updating. I saw a cockroach and silverfish. Don't stay here if you like cleanliness. If you just want inexpensive, this is the place.2016-03-18"
"Across from the Houston Space Center. The room was clean, but too small to be comfortable for long. I hated the key card, which didn't consistently work. Staff was cordial, but that was it. Continental breakfast included biscuits, gravy, and an egg. Good coffee. Find a better hotel.2015-04-01"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
