"Good hotel as always; we stay here a lot and recommend it. It's close to SMU, and the rooms are clean. The staff is friendly, breakfast is good, and parking is free.2019-07-30"
"The hotel was clean, but my room was close to the expressway and I heard traffic noise all night. Ask for a room in the back of the building.2017-04-11"
"Nice hotel with friendly employees. Breakfast was great. Make a reservation.2016-05-24"
"Not enough coffee provided in our hotel room. Rude employee in the bar area. No valet parking, and no one to help with luggage; the luggage cart had a flat tire, so it was difficult to push. Keep looking.2016-03-28"
"The hotel room was small, but nice and clean. The only negative was that the lighting over the vanity was terrible. Friendly, helpful personnel. Outstanding complimentary breakfast. There was hardly any wait time for the elevators. Nice place to stay.2015-07-28"
"Farther from SMU than I expected. The motel was unacceptable. It was shabby and felt dirty and unsafe, with questionable-looking people about. I didn't stay and don't recommend it.2019-08-26"
"There was mildew on the bottom of the shower curtain in my motel room. I told the check-in clerk that I wanted to pay with cash. She said that was fine, but at checkout I was told my card had already been charged.2019-06-28"
"Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Had enough electrical outlets and fast WiFi. Heard some freeway noise. I loved having a Denny's restaurant nearby.2015-03-23"
"The motel room was clean. The housekeepers were helpful, but started pretty early. I had trouble with the room key and kept having to make trips to the office to get it re-set. Make sure your credit card has a chip, or be prepared for a $100 deposit. I stayed during the 4th of July weekend, and it was busy at night. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the people at BuzzBrews were awesome.2020-07-05"
"I had a hassle-free motel stay.2020-02-05"
"The room was clean and comfortable. The motel staff was friendly and helpful; they graciously allowed me to change rooms to the 1st floor since I had a lot of luggage. I'd stay here again.2018-09-22"
"The motel room smelled bad. I told the staff, but nothing was done. Don't stay here.2017-08-09"
"Good value. The motel was clean, and the staff was friendly. Nice breakfast with good hours and options. I had no complaints.2016-09-08"

"The beds were extremely comfortable. The sofa pulled out to a bed, but the mattress was thin. I was pleased that the kitchen was well-stocked; even dishwashing liquid was provided. Good-sized bathroom with a full-length mirror. My only complaint was that the room faced the noisy interstate; I had to use ear plugs. Still, this hotel had much to offer for the price.2022-01-17"
"Good hotel.2018-11-09"
"The hotel was affordable and comfortable, and the staff was great.2017-07-06"
"The handicap double bed room needed a partition for privacy. Didn't have a roll-in shower, either.2015-02-23"
"The hotel was quiet and convenient to stores. Check-in was quick, and everything was explained clearly. Great staff. Go for it.2017-11-27"
"Good hotel. Book here.2017-09-29"
"Nice hotel room, but the duvet cover came off the comforter while I was sleeping. Check-in went smoothly and I liked the cookies. The fruit-infused water in the lobby was refreshing. Good exercise room.2016-10-26"
"Nice hotel. A pleasant experience.2016-05-24"
"Wonderful junior suite. Good staff and food, and the waiter in the dining room was great. The elevator ride was a bit scary; we informed the hotel clerk. Enjoy your stay and the excellent customer service.2016-04-12"
"Easy access to local businesses, and close to Love Field. We loved our stay at this hotel. Excellent accommodations. The entire staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Outstanding food and beverages. We absolutely encourage others to stay here.2015-04-22"
"We had a good stay. The room was clean, and the hotel clerks were attentive and polite. The only downside was that after a night out drinking, we returned and were refused service at the bar.2017-03-29"
"Wonderful experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, and the staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. I loved the fragrance throughout the hotel. Meals at Dragonfly were exceptional. I was impressed and definitely recommend staying here.2016-03-23"
"The hotel was centrally located and close to Dallas Love Airport. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was accommodating. Consider staying here.2019-09-23"

"The hotel was hard to find, and the lobby smelled like rotten eggs.2016-11-05"
"The perfect hotel for going to a Stars game and then flying out of Dallas Love Field. Just 2 blocks from American Airlines Arena, so we walked to the game. The room itself was nice, with a bedroom and sofa bed.2015-04-16"
"Nice hotel stay. The room was pleasant and had a city view. All the employees were polite and friendly. Easy check-in and checkout. The only negative was that the bar stopped serving food too early. We returned from a concert at 10 PM, and only nuts were available.2016-04-10"
"Great hotel and super staff. Stay here.2022-01-22"
"The room was small, and the hotel staff was rude. I had to hunt down the valet, who was usually inside talking to the clerks. Bad experience.2018-10-05"
"The hotel was downtown, and it was a bit of a challenge to access because of construction and one-way streets. The room was nice, but the AC was on a timer activated by a motion detector; I spent the entire night waving my arm in the air to keep it functioning. The Bistro was a little expensive.2018-08-30"
"Quaint hotel in downtown Dallas. The room was clean and quite comfortable. No spoons to stir the coffee, though, and no room service menu. A great choice for a great price.2016-03-10"
"The hotel was extremely nice, and all the employees were pleasant and knowledgeable about the city.2016-03-02"
"Just a block from the Majestic Theater, but my stay was a nightmare. I got a text from the hotel asking for a selfie and why I was in Dallas. It was a maze getting to my floor. The room was a pretentious little box with a herringbone floor but nothing to welcome guests. The phone key didn't work, so security had to let me in the room. No room service; I was told I'd have to go to the lobby or the 48th floor to get a pizza. I was told the floors for guests were secure, but that wasn't the case. The ceiling fan was attached to a bright censor light, and it stopped working after a half hour. The toilet paper was cheap. Check-in was virtual, and no information was provided. Do not stay here.2022-05-06"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
