"Excellent location. The hotel employees were friendly and attentive; every interaction with them was well above average.2022-01-16"
"I had a great time at this hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was clean and soft. The building needed fresh paint and some work on the door for safety, but I recommend staying here.2020-12-16"
"The kitchenette was dirty, and the stove, microwave, and large pan were filthy. The hotel clerks were pleasant.2020-09-06"

"We asked for adjoining rooms, and didn't even get rooms on the same floor. When we got to our room, it was dusty, the dishes in the cabinet were wet, and the coffee maker was dirty. The AC was noisy. The floors were covered in grit and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The bathroom counter was dirty, and the switchplates were askew. Our room wasn't cleaned daily. I was disappointed with this hotel.2015-08-20"

"The rates were high, and because of Covid, the pool was closed and there was no breakfast. The room smelled like mold. There was sand on the floor and between the bedsheets. No washcloths provided. 2020-06-23"
"Good experience. The hotel was convenient to the beach and activities. The room was modern, the staff was friendly, and the pool was nice. Easy parking.2019-07-26"
"All the hotel employees were friendly and helpful, and the check-in clerk made sure I got a room with grab bars in the bathroom. The housekeeper was professional and made sure my room was nicely serviced, and the breakfast attendant made sure I had an enjoyable meal. Book a room here.2018-06-09"
"The curtains in my room were hanging off the rod. The bed was a double, not a queen, and it was too firm. The sink didn't have running water.2022-07-28"
"All the hotel employees were accommodating and so nice. I absolutely recommend staying here.2019-11-22"

"Not a bad place to stay for a reasonable rate. Not far from the beach. The hotel was clean, but our room had a strong odor and the floor was soaking wet where the AC leaked. Friendly employees.2016-09-15"
"Hotel was run-down. The lobby was decent enough, but the room, pool area, and restroom needed serious maintenance. Nice staff. I'll pass on this place next time I visit.2015-03-16"
"No hot water for a shower the 1st morning, and the problem hadn't been fixed when I returned in the evening. Maintenance came and said the problem was that it wasn't turned on in the wall. The next morning, the water was scalding hot. I asked for a late checkout, but was only given an extra hour. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.2022-10-23"
"Convenient to the hospital. I checked in quiet late, but the hotel clerk was pleasant and helpful.2019-12-10"
"This hotel was worth the price and had everything I was looking for. It felt like a home away from home. The staff was friendly and helpful.2021-03-03"
"I liked the hotel's guidelines in light of the virus. The room was really clean, and I liked that it wasn't carpeted.2020-06-08"
"Clean hotel with friendly employees. The only problem was that our room was near the elevators, and the noise disturbed us when we were trying to sleep.2016-01-22"

"Nice, clean hotel with friendly employees. Stay here.2017-12-02"
"Everything was above average, from the clean, quality room to the breakfast and guest laundry. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.2016-11-07"
"The sofa bed was really uncomfortable; my daughter could feel the springs, and she had to make the bed herself. I was unhappy that the hotel didn't provide daily housekeeping service. I had to ask for clean towels. Don't stay here.2021-06-17"
"My hotel room had a good view of the Leaning Tower of Pizza. Nice check-in clerk. Ask for a room facing Broadway at the Beach.2016-12-17"
"Easy access to Broadway on the Beach. The hotel was clean but expensive considering how few amenities were offered. A storm knocked out the cable TV while I was watching a movie. A trolley was available to the boardwalk and other attractions.2016-07-11"
"If you're looking for a clean hotel with beautiful grounds, this is the place. The room was spacious and clean, and the employees were friendly and helpful.2019-09-29"
"Nice hotel. The room was as described, and the staff was friendly.2015-10-20"
"The back door of the hotel was broken, and I had to call maintenance. No hot water for showers, and the sink didn't drain well; I had to call maintenance about that, too.2019-03-23"
"The hotel was shabby and wasn't well-kept. No indoor pool; had to ride a shuttle to another area to swim. Won't stay here again.2015-11-24"
"Our motel room was only cleaned twice in 4 days. The phone didn't work, and the bathroom was nasty. Not enough parking.2021-07-23"
"Nice, spacious motel room. The bathroom needed to be updated, but I was satisfied with my stay.2018-09-10"
"The motel room was so dirty; the floor needed vacuuming, and there was something black on the ceiling over the bed. I slept with my clothes on and woke up with bug bites on my legs. The bathroom mirror was broken, and the bathtub didn't drain well. Someone knocked on the door at 3:30 AM. Don't stay here.2017-08-07"

Water Parks: Splashes is at Family Kingdom Amusement Park offers water rides for all ages of the family as does Myrtle Waves Water Park where you enjoy the wave pool or just relax on the lazy river. Speaking of lazy rivers, many of our hotels, motels and resorts have them, too. Some even have their own water parks! Golf: There is no better place to tee it up! Many of the top ranked golf courses in the country are located along the Grand Strand, including Caledonia in the south and Barefoot Resort in the north. How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
