"A wonderful hotel stay. The room was nice. The showerhead was too high to adjust, and the water pressure wasn't strong enough. All the employees were helpful and gracious.2022-11-07"

"The hotel was just OK. The carpet was dirty. There was coffee in the room, but no cups. No toaster in the lobby at breakfast because "the knobs broke off." The elevator had broken panels. Stay somewhere else.2023-06-08"
"The hotel room was dirty, and the beds weren't made. We waited and waited for a housekeeper, and finally called again and were moved to another room. Not worth the price.2022-06-13"
"The AC was so noisy that it kept us awake the 1st night. We turned it off the 2nd night and tolerated a hot and stuffy room. The bed linens were stretched and worn, and the bottom sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress. Choose another hotel. The room wasn't serviced because of Covid, so I couldn't have the bed re-made. The bathroom floor was sticky, and the shower water was lukewarm. The door across the hall was broken, and an old cloth was stuffed into a hole where the doorknob should have been. We won't stay at this hotel again.2021-10-17"
"Beautiful hotel with outstanding service. There was a wonderful jazz duo playing in the lobby on Saturday afternoon. Lovely pool and outdoor seating areas for relaxing.2015-08-25"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
