"The AC was so noisy that it kept us awake the 1st night. We turned it off the 2nd night and tolerated a hot and stuffy room. The bed linens were stretched and worn, and the bottom sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress. Choose another hotel. The room wasn't serviced because of Covid, so I couldn't have the bed re-made. The bathroom floor was sticky, and the shower water was lukewarm. The door across the hall was broken, and an old cloth was stuffed into a hole where the doorknob should have been. We won't stay at this hotel again.2021-10-17"
"The room was clean, but there weren't enough working electrical outlets. I got clean towels and toilet paper. The hotel clerks were really helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We'll stay here again.2020-10-09"
"Nice experience. The hotel room was a bit small, but the accommodations were suitable for our needs and the bed was super comfortable. The check-in clerk was friendly and helpful, and all the employees we encountered were pleasant and professional.2020-02-07"
"The hotel staff was nice and exceptionally helpful with information about MUSC. Stay here.2019-12-19"
"The hotel room could've been cleaner. There was candy on the floor, toothpaste on the sink, and a used cup stacked with the wrapped ones. The hallway carpet was worn in spots, and only one elevator was working. Not what I expected for the price I paid.2019-03-26"
"The hotel was clean, and the staff was helpful. Park on the 2nd level of the parking garage; when it rained, the lower level flooded.2022-08-26"
"Great room. The hotel clerks were outstanding and helped with printing out various directions. The staff was courteous and friendly.2021-09-30"
"The hotel room was comfortable, and the staff was helpful. The room wasn't ready on time, but the hotel clerks went the extra mile to accommodate me. I really appreciated the free parking and easy-to-use parking garage. 2017-06-27"
"Not a good hotel. Don't stay here.2016-08-24"
"The hotel room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and modern. I slept well and was able to get extra pillows. I didn't like the Keurig coffee in the room, and brewed coffee wasn't available in the dining area until 7 AM. The bathroom was spacious and super clean. Good room service food. I'd definitely stay here again.2016-07-26"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
