"The hotel room smelled moldy, and the beds weren't comfortable. The sink and bathtub water was brown, and the bottom of the bathtub was dirty. The checkout clerk said our room had recently had a water leak and shouldn't have been rented out. Not a good stay.2019-08-26"
"The attempts to update the bathroom were failures. The mirror and other features were broken, and tiles had been grouted to the exterior of the bathtub. The pool water was green. Stay at another hotel. 2019-01-04"
"The hotel wasn't clean, and the clientele made me uncomfortable. The front desk clerks were too lazy to get out of their chairs. The pool was dirty, and people were swimming in their pants. Breakfast was bagels and biscuits with gravy. I won't stay again.2015-06-08"
"Trash cans in 1st room were full, and the lock on the bathroom door was broken, so I asked for another room. 2nd room was under renovation; there were paint cans and wallpaper in the room, and it smelled strongly of paint. I was moved to a 3rd room, but the heater didn't work. Front desk clerk and manager were both rude, and said no other rooms were available. Don't stay here.2015-01-15"
"Good value. The hotel was clean and quiet.2020-02-03"
"My hotel room was by the noisy ice machine.2019-03-03"
"There were bugs in one of the beds, and the hotel staff wasn't even concerned. Don't stay here.2018-08-02"
"The hotel was newly renovated, pet-friendly, and close to I-75. Good value. The room was clean, but the drains were slow. Everything else was fine, including breakfast. Good service. I'd stay here again.2017-08-31"
"The hotel was just off the interstate and easy to find. There were a number of restaurants in the area. This was my 2nd stay in the last year. Nice rooms and great personnel. I'll stay again.2017-08-12"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
