"Hard to find from the freeway because of landscaping overgrowth. The hotel was nice and quiet, but the bathroom wasn't clean when we arrived.2018-07-07"
"We enjoyed our stay and slept well. Our motel room had a sofa. Make a reservation.2017-06-03"

"I've stayed at this hotel many times and always have a relaxing experience. It's somewhat dated, but clean and well-maintained. Good variety at the free breakfast, and I like the fresh-baked cookies in the evening.2019-11-10"

"Convenient location near the capital. Nice, clean accommodations and crisp, comfortable bed. Breakfast was better than many hotels offer, and the charge was modest.2022-06-14"
"Right off I-5 and easy to find. The rates were reasonable compared to Seattle hotels. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and brand new. The staff was friendly.2018-06-10"
"Good location. The hotel was dog-friendly, and there were lots of grassy areas. However, it was dingy and the windows were filthy, and the entire place seemed understaffed. There was only one bartender for about 40 customers. Don't expect fast service in the dining room.2018-05-24"
"Clean room and great staff. I recommend this hotel.2015-05-31"
"The hotel needed better soundproofing; I could hear normal noise from the room next door. Breakfast was a joke.2020-01-13"
"Convenient location. The hotel was older and needed some cleaning. There was mold on the underside of the sink, and the elevators were dusty. The room had a kitchenette, but I had to ask the front desk for dishes and utensils. No coffee maker or hair dryer, and there were no brochures about local attractions. Breakfast was minimal.2015-09-24"
"The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Not happy about paying extra for housekeeping service.2015-08-09"
"Nice hotel near the freeway and several restaurants. The room was clean but didn't have a comfortable chair. All the employees were friendly. We'd stay here again.2019-08-26"

"Great hotel in a great location. There was remodeling underway, but it didn't affect our stay. Good group of employees. I always stay here when passing through Lacey.2018-05-22"
"Nice, clean hotel. I got a great night's sleep. Good breakfast.2017-03-29"
"Good hotel in an excellent location. We weren't disturbed by freeway noise.2017-03-25"
"I was initially given a room downstairs that seemed like a basement and smelled strongly of marijuana. I was graciously offered a room upstairs, but it had a broken door lock. I was then moved to a room on the ground floor by the front desk. I didn't feel safe, and water leaked from the window into the room. The hotel staff was kind, but I didn't feel safe and the room quality was poor. I decided not to stay.2017-03-06"
"The hotel was fine despite the construction, but another guest tried to enter our room when my wife was alone. The staff was understanding and did their best to make us feel secure.2017-01-13"
"The hotel was dirty. The phone didn't work. There were cigarette butts behind the nightstand. The parking lot was filthy. I don't recommend staying here.2021-06-29"
"The accommodations were clean, and the hotel staff was great. Book it.2019-06-29"
"It took 45 minutes to check in. My room was on the 3rd floor, and the hotel didn't have an elevator. It was too hot. When I returned from dinner, the room was roasting because it turned out the AC didn't work. The clerk sent up an industrial fan that was as loud as an airplane and just circulated the hot air, and the window only opened a few inches. The filter basket for the coffee maker was missing. The front desk clerk didn't care. Don't stay here.2018-07-14"
"The room was clean but needed fresh paint, and the bathtub needed to be fixed. The ice machine on the 1st floor was out of order. Only sugary drinks were available. The hotel grounds were filthy, and there were cigarette butts everywhere. There was no place to walk a dog, and people didn't pick up after their pets. The night clerk was rude and unfriendly. Find another place to stay.2021-09-29"
"We had an awesome hotel stay. Book it.2020-03-05"
"The room was clean but small, and it was crammed with furniture. My husband slipped and fell out of the shower, tearing the shower curtain; I informed the front desk so we could get a new shower curtain and was disappointed that no one even asked if my husband was OK. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and though the room was cleaned daily, we never got more toilet paper. By checkout, we were completely out.2018-07-22"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
