"The hotel was nice and clean, and the rates were decent. We enjoyed our stay, but didn't appreciate having to pay $4 for a bottle of water, and the group of men drinking in the hallway made us uncomfortable.2020-01-14"

"Safe location near almost everything. The room was comfortable. I was pleased with the hotel, staff, and amenities. From check-in to checkout, I was provided with excellent service. I used the express checkout, but the front desk clerks asked if we enjoyed our stay and welcomed us back as we were leaving. I definitely recommend staying here.2017-03-21"

"Rates seemed high for a hotel located in the middle of nowhere. Hotel was nice, but the room was spartan and amenities were nonexistent. A mediocre place to stay.2015-01-22"

"The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the staff is great. I've stayed here a few times. Good breakfast options, and Covid precautions were in place. Great restaurant choices across the street.2021-08-23"
"Nice accommodations and good breakfast. No vending machines at the hotel, though, and the prices for snacks at the front desk were exorbitant.2018-12-28"

"The hotel was quite basic and not worth the price. The room was dirty and smelled bad, and the staff wasn't friendly. There are plenty of other options.2018-12-29"
"The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay.2018-01-22"
"The hotel was clean. The bedsheets and towels were crisp and white. My studio had a kitchenette, but no utensils. The decor was dated. Friendly staff. Fine for short stays.2016-06-14"
"Good hotel for the price. No maintenance at night, though; the breaker tripped while I was using the microwave, and it took about 30 minutes for the front desk clerk to re-set it. Breakfast was pretty good.2019-05-06"
"The hotel was clean and safe, and the employees were helpful. We were impressed and recommend staying here.2018-02-14"

"Room was clean and well-suited for business travelers. I was pleasantly welcomed by the front desk clerk. Easy check-in. Try this hotel; you'll love it.2015-03-28"
"Convenient to Carowinds, and there was a mall across the street. Plenty of restaurants nearby, too. The hotel and room were clean, and the room was large and had a sofa. The continental breakfast was adequate, and the dining area was large. I had a pleasant stay.2019-08-06"
"The motel was a little better than average, but the WiFi was terrible.2018-07-09"
"The motel room was hot when I arrived, and it took a few hours to cool off after I turned off the AC. There was a slight smell of mildew. The curtains didn't fully close, so light came in the window. No alarm clock. There seemed to be a lot of paperwork at checkout, and I didn't like that my ID was copied. Consider other options.2018-06-28"
"Poor value. The motel room was tiny and dirty. The amenities were slim to none, and the appliances didn't work. The employees were rude and unaccommodating. I don't recommend staying here.2016-03-29"
HotelGuides makes it easy to find hotels that are pet friendly. I also like the ease of changing reservations and that I don’t have to pay in advance.
On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
