"We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and our room was never serviced after we arrived. The free drinks weren't good, but the beer was OK. Stay somewhere else.2016-08-11"
"Inexpensive and close to restaurants, a gas station, and limited stores. Not too far from tourists sites. The hotel exterior looked new, but there were weeds in the parking lot. The carpet in the room was starting to curl, and the furniture looked worn. The bathroom was large but poorly designed. The light was at a bad angle, and the small sink was in a tight corner. That said, I got 2 great nights of sleep and had a hot shower each morning. Breakfast on Saturday didn't keep up with all the guests.2021-06-21"
"There were bedbugs in the 1st room, and the bedsheets had grit in them. I moved to another room that seemed free of bedbugs. The hotel clerk was nice and apologized. Breakfast was good.2018-08-31"
"The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the TV didn't work. The employees were welcoming. Good place to stay.2017-05-30"

"Close to St. Louis and dog friendly. Not far from I-44 but still quiet. I was pleased to have a room on the 1st floor, which made taking my dog out easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was courteous. Standard complimentary breakfast, but I was able to take it back to the room. You won't be disappointed.2018-10-29"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
