Monroe is on the western shore of Lake Erie in southeastern Michigan and 40 miles southwest of downtown Detroit. Monroe hotels are near I-75 at La Plaisance Road, Exit 11 or near I-75 at Dixie Highway, Exit 15. Both lead to the downtown area.
