El Paseo Drive is a posh, downtown shopping district and a main attraction in the city. It runs just south of and parallel to CA 111.
About half of the hotels in Palm Desert are located downtown along CA 111. The other hotels are north of town near the golf and country clubs. Marriott has 5 hotels in this area, Westin and Hilton each have one.
