"Close to the college. The room was clean, but the TV didn't work; I'd turn it on, and something else would turn it off. The hair dryer didn't work. No maintenance worker to fix anything. The snow on the sidewalk wasn't cleared. Just seemed like kind of a junky hotel. Go elsewhere.2016-03-06"
"The hotel was close to the college, and the rates were reasonable. There were ants in the bathroom, so we changed rooms. The carpet needed cleaning. Good breakfast.2016-02-26"
"The hotel was close to the university. The sofa was badly stained, the garbage cans hadn't been emptied after the previous guest, and there were footprints on the bedding. There was hair on the toilet. Find another place to stay.2016-02-15"
"The only lighting in the room was a lamp on the desk. Not enough electrical outlets. The noise from the guests in the room above ours was disturbing, including shower noise. The staff did ask the occupants to quiet down, but it made little difference. The pool and public restroom by the pool were both dirty. Don't stay at this hotel.2023-05-15"
"The room was clean, and the hotel clerks were kind. Good pool area, but it wasn't cleaned overnight and there was still trash there the next day. Limited breakfast. It was fine for a night or two.2022-04-04"
"The bathroom in my hotel room wasn't well-cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub and sink, and the toilet wasn't at all clean.2020-09-11"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
