"The hotel room looked clean, but the hallway didn't, and it was noisy all night. Not much room between the bed and the wall, and it smelled like dog. Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else.2020-07-15"
"This was the worst motel I've ever stayed in. It was filthy and musty. No fridge or microwave, and the TV only had 4 channels. There were dogs barking at all hours of the night. Don't stay here.2023-05-24"
"The motel had a great atmosphere and friendly employees.2018-06-27"
"Great location. Good beds and amenities. No breakfast, though. If you're looking for a simple, affordable hotel, try this one.2016-12-30"

"Nice, affordable hotel with friendly, helpful front desk clerks. They went out of their way to help me find a store where I could get help with my phone. I was pleased.2018-06-22"
"There was trash in the lobby, and the hotel clerk looked like she just got out of bed. The hallway smelled like marijuana, and the clientele made me uncomfortable. Run away.2022-11-08"
"Located in a somewhat shady area. The bedding was stained and had cigarette burns, even in my non-smoking room. The iron was dirty, and I couldn't change the settings. The hotel clerk didn't acknowledge me when I arrived and seemed bothered that I was there. Expect the bare minimum of everything here, from cleanliness to hospitality.2020-07-10"
"Not worth the price - didn't look like online photos - room wasn't clean - carpet was stained - bedsheets were dirty - garbage can hadn't been emptied - front desk clerk was watching TV and ignored me for 5 minutes while I waited for assistance - I didn't stay.2012-06-01"

"This hotel was great. Plenty of restaurants in the area, including a few within walking distance. I liked the retro decor and great exercise room. We heard noise from upstairs, but the staff accommodated us with a room change to the upper floor. Spacious room with a kitchenette, though the bed was a bit soft for us. The bathroom was large and had a walk-in shower and great water pressure. Nice but warm pool with piped-in music, and there was a patio with BBQ grills. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit. The guest laundry room was easy to use. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in.2017-12-23"

"The room had water damage and mold, and the wallpaper had fallen off. There was a towel blocking the gap under the room door. The mirror was cracked, and the bar sink backed up and smelled like sewage. Don't stay at this hotel.2021-08-02"

"Close to IKEA and the mall. I had a wonderful hotel stay. Go for it.2017-09-29"
"Nice, clean room. Outstanding staff. There were noisy people in the room above mine, so I was moved to another room. Good breakfast. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel.2016-11-28"
"This hotel was a rat hole. Don't stay here.2021-05-08"
"The room was clean other than the worn and shabby sofa. The bed was OK and fairly comfortable. The front desk area smelled like cooking, but the hotel clerk was nice. OK place to stay.2017-11-11"
"Close to restaurants and stores. The hotel was older, but the room was clean and had a microwave, fridge, and coffee pot. The paint and linens were fresh. The staff was friendly. I'd stay here again.2017-10-24"
"The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great pillows; I've never slept so well at a hotel before. The employees were friendly and polite, and the indoor pool was amazing. Bring your swimsuit; you won't be disappointed. Delicious continental breakfast. This would be my choice if I returned to Mundelein.2015-11-03"
"My stay was great. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice having a microwave and fridge in the room. Other than the construction noise, I definitely recommend this hotel.2015-09-27"

"The hotel entry was unkempt and unwelcoming. The room had threadbare towels, and not enough of them. Only one small bar of soap was provided. The tile floor in the shower was slippery, and there was nowhere to put shampoo and such. The staff was friendly, but I don't recommend staying here.2022-06-10"
"This hotel was well worth the price. The front desk clerk was great and made me feel welcome. Stay here.2020-03-26"
"Neither phone in the room had a dial tone, so I couldn't call my companion to let me in; I had to pound on the door instead - TV didn't work properly; there was a sound delay that was so dramatic we couldn't watch anything - front desk clerk said he couldn't help me - won't stay again.2012-01-01"
"The fridge froze our food. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the coffee and fresh lemon water in the lobby. The best part of our hotel stay was the service of the breakfast attendants. Everything was clean, and the food was well-stocked and an appropriate temperature. 2018-07-23"
"The train station was farther from the hotel than I expected. The bathtub faucet dripped. Find a cheaper place to stay.2016-08-12"
"Our hotel room was clean, quiet, and odor-free. The appliances and key cards worked. Nice staff. Breakfast was mostly carbs. There were restaurants, bike trails, and a recreational park nearby.2019-06-11"
"The hotel room was clean and had a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and hair dryer. Breakfast was provided. You and your dog will enjoy your stay.2018-05-02"
HotelGuides has won my confidence as a booking experience that is seamless and simple enough for a consumer who does not venture online much. It is now my starting place for fast, secure, carefree booking.
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
