"We had a good 3-night stay. The hotel was clean, and I liked the hunting lodge motif at this edge-of-rural location. The room was spacious and had a coffee maker; open the coffee package to find the "missing" piece of the coffeemaker. A hot breakfast with orange juice was provided. No elevator, though.2022-06-07"
"Clean room with a great bed; I got the best night's sleep I've had at a hotel in a very long time. Wonderful staff. Breakfast was really good.2018-12-31"
"I was satisfied with the hotel. Everything appeared to be clean and tidy, including my room. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable, so I was able to get a good night's sleep. Lots of amenities like a large, flat-screen TV, refrigerator and microwave, and complimentary coffee. Needed better towels. The staff was courteous and friendly. The full breakfast buffet added to the value. Convenient parking. 2015-06-18"
"Great location and amenities. Our suite was beautiful and clean. Wonderful view and good location on the property. There were many activities on-site, but we couldn't use the pools or whirlpool because of Covid-19. Definitely stay here.2020-09-10"

"Clean, dog friendly motel. Check-in was easy.2019-06-22"
"About a half mile from downtown. The motel was expensive, and the room was average at best. It felt like a cheap motel. I was disappointed and won't stay here again.2016-06-28"
"Just 5 minutes from downtown, but located on a busy highway with strip malls and chain stores. Didn't feel like Bend; felt like a generic suburb. The motel seemed overpriced. One of the buildings was across the street from the lobby, breakfast room, and pool. There was a smashed moth on the bathroom door frame, and the walls needed cleaning. Nice enough staff. We left early because it wasn't a good value.2015-09-24"
I loved that HotelGuides helped me find a hotel. You can try to search for one yourself, but this service was so helpful. Just click on the section of the Interstate you are driving on and you see a list of hotels that actually have rooms available.
On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
