"The hotel was in serious need of refurbishing. It was pet-friendly, but the grounds and room were dated. Breakfast was OK. Find another place to stay.2017-09-10"
"There were a number of problems with my hotel stay. The key card system wasn't working, and the reservation system had issues. The employees went out of their way to make sure I had a nice experience.2016-08-29"
"Easy to access from the highway; Tim Horton's nearby, and there were several decent restaurants within walking distance. Good front desk service; the hotel clerk told us about breakfast, and when we said we had to leave before it started, she offered to accommodate us at an earlier time. Stay here.2015-05-21"
"Right downtown in an older building with character. The rates were quite reasonable. The hotel was nice and clean, and run by very sweet people. The hotel clerks were extremely nice. Average breakfast, but the eating area was nice.2016-02-17"
"No on-site parking at this hotel, so we weren't able to stay since we hard our vehicle and a trailer.2015-12-15"
"The room was clean and quite nice. Great bed; I didn't wake until the alarm went off. The employees were pleasant and helpful. I'd stay again.2015-05-05"
"The employees were nice, but the room was terrible. The carpet was stained, the bathtub was old, and the vent wasn't clean. The lightbulbs were dusty. We were moved to another room, but it wasn't much better. Don't stay at this hotel.2020-08-24"
"The room was stuffy, and my handicap room was the farthest from the door. The $25 pet fee was steep. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and there were cobwebs everywhere. I wouldn't stay here again.2018-10-19"
"Close to downtown. Good value. Nice, remodeled room. Quick check-in and checkout. I've stayed at this hotel for the past 5 years when in Woodstock.2015-04-14"
HotelGuides makes it easy to find hotels that are pet friendly. I also like the ease of changing reservations and that I don’t have to pay in advance.
On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
