"Nice location for walking downtown. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, but the carpet was a bit worn.2016-08-13"
"Close to amenities. Reasonable rates. The hotel was clean, and the bed, bedding, and pillows were comfortable. The check-in clerk was friendly and professional, and went out of her way for us. She was so kind that we went out and bought her a bottle of wine. Definitely worth a stay.2015-10-20"
"Good location. Nice, clean hotel room. The Internet connection was slow. Didn't like the breakfast. This was a safe place to stay.2015-09-14"
"Convenient location. The hotel was clean and affordable, and my room was comfortable. The breakfast needed more variety.2015-09-10"
"The motel room was clean but basic. Check-in was uneventful, but a $100 damage deposit was required. The pool was a bit dirty, but it was under many trees; the kids enjoyed it. The child-friendly breakfast was a plus. OK place to stay.2016-08-29"
"There were mattresses and a toilet in the food area, which was closed because of Covid. We were told not to use the bathtub in the room. We had issues with the TV. Don't stay at this motel.2021-07-12"
"The motel was the perfect place to stay during a fall weekend. The room on the river side was beautiful, quiet, and nicely appointed. The staff was friendly, but service in the dining room was slow, even when it wasn't busy. Apologies were offered, but it didn't translate into better service. 2016-10-17"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
