"The hotel was cheap but really needed updating. The carpet was old and stained, the wallpaper was coming off the wall, and there was mold behind it. I could hear all the traffic from the highway outside.2021-09-14"
"The hotel was filthy, and the sofa bed sheets weren't clean. There was mold in the shower and dirt along the edges of the bathroom. The 1st room they gave us was even worse and hadn't been serviced after the previous guest.2020-01-06"
"Expensive for a low-quality place. When we arrived, the room smelled like smoke and the AC was running while the window was open. The hotel clerk apologized and upgraded us to a better room, but both rooms were dated and dirty, especially the bathtub. The caulking was loose, and the floor was dirty. Don't stay here.2017-06-19"
"The room was clean and nicely remodeled, and the hotel clerk was helpful with restaurant recommendations. Great breakfast and attendant. Stay here.2016-12-27"
"This hotel was worth the price. The room was spacious and clean, but the carpet was bunched up in places. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the pool was nice.2016-08-30"
"The hotel building was old, but the room had been nicely redone. A bit confusing to find.2021-07-18"
"A horrible experience. The motel was hard to find, and it looked extremely run-down. There were bugs in the bed, the carpet was filthy, the walls were dirty, and the wallpaper was peeling. I'd never recommend staying here.2016-07-25"
"Considering the price, I have no complaints about this motel. The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave, iron, and hair dryer. The bed was comfortable. Friendly service. Close to a gas station, but there were no stores nearby; the area is mostly farmland.2016-06-21"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
