"The hotel was clean, but the toilet in the 1st room didn't flush. The 2nd room was much better. We had trouble with the key cards, though. No fast-food restaurants within walking distance.2021-01-13"
"Not much within walking distance, but the hotel was convenient to the University of Dayton. Nice room. The common areas were attractive and comfortable, and the bistro and bar were convenient. The employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't free, but it was quite good. We had a great stay.2019-03-03"
"The hotel staff was kind and helpful. Two thumbs up.2018-08-30"

"The motel clerk had to be paged at 3:30 PM and was rude and unhelpful. The floor had been swept but needed to be cleaned. I don't recommend staying here.2020-02-06"
"Our hotel room had a stovetop, refrigerator, and microwave. Easy check-in and courteous staff.2018-03-16"
"The hotel smelled like a hospital, but it was clean and quiet. The only problem was the smell of marijuana in our bathroom and in the elevator. We called the number for after-hours assistance, but were told that nothing could be done about it.2016-06-25"
"The hotel wasn't fancy, but it was adequate for a night's sleep on the road. The room was clean, and the beds were great. By all means, stay here.2022-02-08"
"The shower base in my hotel room was cracked and leaked water, and there was mold on the surface.2021-08-26"
"The hotel was OK but basic and stuck in the past. The room smelled like smoke. Good service.2017-05-24"
"The exterior of the motel was a little run-down. The room was somewhat clean, but the pillowcases were torn. A late checkout cost $25. I wouldn't stay here again.2017-07-22"
"The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. This is my go-to motel when I'm in town. Stay here.2016-12-05"
"We had to climb 4 crumbling stairs to get to the main hotel level. The linens were clean, but that was the only positive. We were on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. The room wasn't clean. The floor was gross, the fridge and microwave were filthy, and I had to clean the desk. The heater was noisy, and the place smelled like marijuana.2022-04-14"
"There were roaches everywhere, and the TV and fridge didn't work. Don't stay at this motel.2021-11-11"
"The hotel was clean, but everything was outdated.2018-06-10"
"The hotel room wasn't clean. There were sticky soda can stains on furniture, hair in the bed, stains on the linens and sofa, and the office chair was close to breaking. The door didn't close securely, and we had trouble with the key cards. The phone buttons were dirty, and the top of the toilet tank needed cleaning. The non-skid strips in the bathtub were discolored.2016-11-08"
"The hotel was nice and clean, and the room was large.2016-11-08"
"The hotel was a bit older, but still in good shape. Nice, clean room, and it was pleasant and warm in winter. Everything worked, and the view from the balcony was cool. Easy check-in. Good place to stay.2019-11-04"
"The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Continue down the road for shops and restaurants. The bistro in the lobby was great for breakfast, but not private enough to be a lounge.2016-07-13"
"The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was efficient. Stay here with confidence.2016-03-10"
"The hotel was better than I thought it would be. The room was nice and like a small apartment.2023-02-14"
"Not a bad hotel, but seemed pricey for an overnight stay. The room wasn't especially clean. The bed was fine. The bathroom faucet had hard water stains and crust around the handles. My biggest complaint was the barefoot guests at breakfast.2015-06-03"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
