"The hotel was pleasant, but the front desk clerk had various duties and wasn't always at the desk. The check-in clerk wasn't very informative about amenities or where things were located.2020-07-05"

"Other guests drank beer, smoked, and left trash all over, including in the parking lot. We weren't able to extend our stay even though we had evacuated due to Hurricane Florence and couldn't return home. We were disappointed that the hotel didn't do more to assist us in an emergency.2018-09-18"
"Nice hotel with friendly employees. I was happy that the area was clean and I was able to bring my dog.2016-12-31"

"The hotel lobby smelled strongly of cologne. The toilet stopped flushing as soon as we arrived. No trash can liners, and the trash can wasn't empty. We changed rooms. The TV in the 2nd room was broken, but the maintenance man was nice. Had to wait to get towels, and they were ragged and discolored. Nice staff. There was old food and bugs on tables out front. Don't stay here.2023-11-01"

"Close to stores, restaurants, and highways. Not many gas stations in the area, though. The hotel was above average, and our room had a huge balcony. We had an enjoyable stay.2018-03-20"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
