90+ percent of our rates are free cancel, pay at hotel.
No booking or cancellation fees
Many hotel reservation websites add a booking or service fee to the rates they display. They usually combine this fee with taxes so you can't tell how much the fee is.
We do not charge a booking fee when you make a reservation, and we do not charge a fee when you cancel a reservation.
But carefully read hotels' cancellation rules. These rules can cost you a lot of money. More
No advance payment for most reservations
When you make a reservation through HotelGuides, your credit card is usually not charged. In fact 90% of our reservations do not require an advance payment of any sort. You simply pay the hotel when you arrive or check out.
When you are charged a deposit for a reservation, your credit card is charged by the hotel, not by HotelGuides. We never charge your credit card for anything.
The reason we always ask for your credit card information is that hotels need this information to guarantee your reservation. If you do not check in on your scheduled date, the hotel will charge you for being a "no show."
Debit cards. If you have a credit card, we recommend that you use it rather than a debit card.
If you use a debit card to guarantee your reservation, the
hotel may charge your bank account in advance even if your reservation
doesn't require prepayment.
HotelGuides makes it easy to find hotels that are pet friendly. I also like the ease of changing reservations and that I don’t have to pay in advance.
