"My hotel stay was awesome except for the noise from another room; there was banging and yelling at 2 AM. The front desk clerk gave us a discount.2019-05-22"
"The hotel was much better than I expected. The room was great and had many extras, making our stay perfect. Nice staff, too. I wouldn't change a thing. You won't be disappointed.2018-08-24"
"Nice view of the lake from our room, but we couldn't go to the water because of a sign saying the bridge had bees. The towels were small, rough, stained, and had holes in them. The wall in the lobby bathroom was damaged. No pamphlets available about area attractions. The motel clerk seemed miserable. The staff at the attached restaurant and bar was friendly.2017-08-08"
"Not a high-end motel, but it was good for an overnight stay. The room, furniture, and bathroom could've been cleaner, but the staff was nice.2017-08-01"
"The entire motel smelled bad. The room had mosquitoes, and the carpet was dirty. Don't stay here.2016-08-29"
"The motel was clean and quiet, and the front desk clerk was super helpful. Not many restaurants in the area, but it was a nice, quiet town.2015-10-07"
"Decent rates. Nice, big room with a comfortable bed. As a woman traveling alone, I usually don't like to stay in motels, but I felt safe here. Checkout was a breeze. Adequate breakfast.2015-09-24"
"Lovely motel. It was astoundingly clean. I'd go back in a heartbeat. The property was in an L shape, and the back side rooms are quieter.2015-07-26"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
