"The hotel was clean and well-lit. Nice personnel and great workout facility. Eat dinner at Perloes in East Rochester; the food is excellent.2017-09-16"
"No room amenities. The toilet didn't flush well. No washcloths provided, and I never got any after asking for some. There was no one at the front desk most of the day. Don't stay at this hotel.2021-06-24"
"Fast check-in and checkout. Nice little breakfast. The hotel snack bar wasn't free.2019-09-09"

"Great hotel, though it was a bit overpriced. The room was clean. The check-in clerk was great and went the extra mile for us. Breakfast was very basic.2019-05-09"
"The hotel was nice and clean. The message light on my phone wouldn't stop blinking, and there was no one from maintenance available at night.2017-12-10"
"Good location near lots of shopping and dining choices. The EV charging stations were a bonus. Good value. The hotel was a little old and outdated, but the continental breakfast was free.2023-08-24"

"The hotel wasn't clean and needed remodeling. Find another place to stay.2021-11-15"
"When I called about shuttle times, I was told that the 1st floor was undergoing renovation, but was assured that it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived, I felt like I needed a hardhat. The "front desk" area looked like a storage closet, but the hotel clerk was nice. The room was adequate, but I was given an adjoining room, and a child in the next room cried and banged on the door. I had been told the shuttle started at 4:30 AM, but it didn't actually start until 6 AM. I had a horrid experience.2015-10-25"
"The hotel was reasonably priced, and the room was nice and clean. The employees were accommodating and brought up extra towels right away when we asked for more. Trouble-free check-in and checkout. The continental breakfast was satisfying.2019-07-21"

"Great hotel with nice employees and good service. Breakfast was tasty. I'd stay here again any time.2018-04-10"
"My hotel stay was fine, but I was a little disappointed with the lack of attention to details. I asked for a cot, but didn't get linens for it. When I requested them, they were brought up promptly, but were old, threadbare, and smelly.2016-04-25"

"Not a luxury hotel. The pool, whirlpool, and exercise room were close the first 24 hours of our stay. When they did open, the exercise room was being painted, the whirlpool looked like it hadn't been open for years, and there were ants all over the pool deck. Stay somewhere else.2018-02-27"
"The hotel was clean but a little outdated. The room was fine, and the bed was comfortable.2016-08-04"
"The hotel was comfortable, and the employees were extremely helpful and friendly. I had trouble with the key cards, and more towels would've been nice.2016-08-02"

On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
