"I had a wonderful hotel stay, and the customer service was great. The only negative was that there were only 3 pillows on the king bed, and they were all uncomfortable.2019-07-10"
"My pet-friendly room was clean and comfortable overall. I was pleased that it didn't have carpeting, but the floor was dirty and turned my socks black. The motel clerk was helpful and apologetic.2016-03-28"
"Inexpensive motel, and you get what you pay for. The room smelled like toilet water, but the front desk clerk was nice and gave me a refund.2015-08-09"
"The hotel was across the street from railroad tracks; I heard 2 trains the night I stayed. The TV didn't work. Great check-in clerk. Breakfast was OK, but the attendants were extremely unhelpful. I wouldn't stay again.2015-08-13"
"The hotel room was clean, but I had a handicap room, and the shower water went all over the bathroom floor. No sink in the bathroom. The ice was on the 1st floor; I got tired of asking the front desk clerk for ice.2019-09-04"
"Great place to stay. The hotel room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was hospitable.2019-06-05"
"Nice hotel with clean rooms. You'll have to request housekeeping service if you stay more than one night. Check-in was convenient, and the clerk was friendly and helpful with area information. The breakfast attendant was nice.2022-05-31"
"The motel room smelled bad. It rained the 2nd day, and water leaked from the ceiling and down the walls, leaving a large wet spot on the carpet. Needed better soundproofing; I heard a lot of noise. People loitered outside all night. Don't stay here.2015-10-27"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
