"The hotel was super clean, and the front desk clerk was helpful with suggestions of sights to see. The employees were nice, and the pool was crystal clear. Excellent breakfast, too. I'll be back.2022-08-24"
"The hotel room was nice and clean, and the employees were friendly.2021-11-01"
"Nice, convenient location. The room was orderly. The towels were rough, and the sink didn't drain well. Pleasant check-in. Ample parking, but the hotel driveway needed better lighting; it was hard to see at night. We'd stay again.2015-10-27"
"The hotel was quiet and comfortable, and the room was nice and clean. Super easy check-in and checkout. The staff was friendly but not intrusive. We were traveling with our dogs and were given a room near the exit to the dog area outside. Stay here.2019-07-07"

"Not a good value. There was hair in the sheets, and the bathroom floor was dirty. Find another motel.2020-10-06"
"Everything about this hotel was excellent, from the location and rates to the room and customer service. I was pleased and recommend a stay.2017-09-30"
"I woke up with bug bites on my arm. There were food crumbs in the 2nd bed. The bathroom was dirty, with hair and crumbs on the floor. Housekeeping left a bag of toilet paper and personal items in the room, then woke us up early to ask us not to take them. Then the front desk clerk called us about them. The check-in clerk was helpful and the best part of our stay. Don't recommend this hotel.2016-02-23"
"The room looked dirty and needed more thorough vacuuming. The pool was green and out of service. The ice machine didn't work. Don't stay at this motel.2016-11-02"
"The motel housekeeper left dirty towels in my room. Not acceptable.2015-08-12"
"I was disappointed that the motel room hadn't been vacuumed at all, and wasn't clean overall. There are plenty of other places to stay in the area.2015-05-28"

"The hotel was pet friendly, but it wasn't as nice as the online photos. It was run-down, and our queen suite was dirty. We ended up leaving 2 days earlier than we'd planned. If you're looking for a reasonably priced overnight stay, this may be a good choice.2020-07-26"
Known for its scenic beauty and Victorian architecture, Petoskey is a great place to enjoy the outdoors.
Crowds flock to the Festival on the Bay at Bayfront Park in mid-July, a waterfront festival with music and events for the whole family.
Warm weather brings crowds to the beaches to search for the Michigan state rock, the Petoskey Rock
and the scenic bike route connecting towns along the bay. The Winter Sports Park ensures that residents and visitors enjoy the outdoors when the weather is cold, too.
The historic Gaslight Shopping District features shops, boutiques, and galleries, as well as the Crooked Tree Arts Center.

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
