"The hotel was a little pricey. Nice suite, and the bathroom was wonderful. The staff was accommodated when I unexpectedly needed a cot. I'd stay here again.2017-03-07"
"I loved everything about this hotel and plan to stay again. It was quiet, immaculate, and exceptionally comfortable. I loved the robes, and the make-up mirror was a plus. Friendly, helpful staff. Great wine selection at the restaurant.2015-11-23"
"Convenient to the cruise ship terminal, but not to historic Boston. Great room and view. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised that tipping was included in the price.2015-04-29"

"This is a young person's hotel, and I needed a teenager with me to handle the technology. I never did figure out how to turn on a light in the room at night. The bathroom light worked fine, but the shower water went from hot to cold in the morning. Great place to stay if you just need a place to crash.2022-02-22"
"Good location, but the room left a lot to be desired. There was no dresser or closet. The hotel staff was helpful in every way. Think twice about staying here for more than one night.2018-10-11"
"This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. Good location and friendly service. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Had to ask for more towels. The lobby bar had great pizza and a nice atmosphere for unwinding before bed. Didn't have automatic checkout. I'd happily stay again.2015-09-15"
"Great location, and the Metro stopped just up the street. Hotel was quiet, with a nice view of the city. Good room service food. Staff was helpful and always willing to assist with directions or whatever was required to make our stay enjoyable. Try the South Street Diner while in Boston.2015-02-12"
"The hotel was gorgeous and historically important, and the location was the best; I walked everywhere. Excellent rates for Boston. The king bed in my room was the best bed I've ever slept on. Everything was immaculate. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and responsive. This will definitely be my hotel of choice when I come to Boston.2021-05-02"
"Nice hotel near business offices. I had a good stay.2019-02-25"
"I had a comfortable stay. Convenient to the historic area, and just minutes from the Boston Common. Easy walk to a number of attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel clerks were accommodating and let us store our luggage after checkout before we left on our cruise.2018-09-21"
"The hotel was clean and pleasant and in a great part of town.2017-08-08"
"A lovely little hotel in a great location. I liked that it was a smaller place and not a giant, corporate monstrosity. The rates were a bit high, but the room was comfortable and nicely appointed, and it had everything I needed. The staff was accommodating. Fabulous complimentary breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again.2019-10-16"
"Good location and nice accommodations. The staff was friendly. Great lounge area.2016-05-22"
"Excellent location for visiting Beacon Hill and the Boston Common. Hotel room was large, and the bed was comfortable. Nice bathroom. Ask for a room on a higher floor on weekends; the 2nd floor bar was very busy. Our stay was quite enjoyable.2015-03-10"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
