"I had a wonderful stay. The hotel was conveniently located, and the room was clean. The employees were extremely friendly and always willing to assist guests. Great experience.2018-09-18"
"For the price I paid, this motel met my expectations. It's on a busy street, so I heard a lot of traffic noise, but the room and bedsheets were clean, and that's essential to me. No fridge, but the coffee maker was appreciated. There was a dresser instead of a closet. New, large TV. The wireless Internet speed was slow at times. The bathroom was clean and remodeled, and the towels were clean and adequate. I recommend this hotel for a short stay.2016-10-17"
"Nothing extravagant, but this motel was worth the price. No hassles. The room was pretty clean. Good parking. I recommend if you just need a night's sleep.2015-10-19"
"OK motel, but not as nice as the online photos made it look. The check-in clerk was rude, and responded to my questions as if I were dumb. I'll never stay here again.2015-08-04"
"Great location and rates, but the area was noisy with traffic and airplanes. We asked for an adjoining room, and got a room that adjoined the office. The bedsheets were stained. No closet or space to hang up clothing. No suitcase stands. No shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo, and we only got 2 towels. The motel had ample parking.2015-05-10"

"About 18 miles from downtown Chicago. Nice amenities without the traffic and high prices of downtown and airport hotels. There were lots of restaurants with outdoor seating in the area. My room on the 12th floor had a nice view of the Chicago skyline, though the sound of the El was somewhat annoying until I got used to it. I ate dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was quite good.2018-07-30"
"A comfortable hotel with pleasant personnel.2017-11-30"
"My hotel room was too hot, and there was no fan. The heater was so loud at night that I couldn't sleep. Find another place to stay.2019-03-31"
"An older hotel, but it was comfortable and charming even though it didn't have fancy amenities. The room was on the small side, but it was fine for sleeping and the bed was comfortable. The window AC worked well but was quite loud. The front desk clerk was professional, friendly, and accommodating. Fantastic complimentary breakfast. Parking was limited; I parked at a lot several blocks away and walked.2018-08-21"
"My hotel room smelled like smoke, and the hallways were quite dirty; there were beer bottles and glasses outside my room when I checked in, and they were still there when I checked out.2017-11-21"
"Good experience. The hotel room was clean, but the AC fan was loud. I told the front desk clerk, but it wasn't fixed. I asked for another room, but was told no other rooms were available. I barely slept for 2 nights.2016-10-06"
"Good experience, especially the quiet of the hotel. No TV guide in the room. I recommend staying here.2022-03-06"
"This hotel was overpriced and in need of renovation. I couldn't control the room temperature, and it was very uncomfortable. Don't recommend.2015-09-29"

"The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.2018-10-02"
"The hotel was well-maintained and had many extras that made the stay wonderfully comfortable. The employees were courteous and competent. I liked the evening burgers, wine, and cheese. Great pool and nice exercise room. We were happy.2016-11-23"
"Clean room. Even the sofa bed was comfortable. The front desk clerks were courteous and helpful. Wonderful complimentary hot breakfast. The attendants were nice and kept the tables clean. This hotel was all we needed and more. Highly recommend.2015-04-07"
"Great rates, and located within walking distance of attractions and stores. We liked the unique decor and design. Our favorite was the elevator. The hotel clerks were friendly and helpful.2022-04-17"
"Convenient to Wrigley Field. We arrived earlier than expected, and the hotel clerk accommodated us so we could check in early. She also let me know about validating my parking. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable.2021-07-12"
"The room was small, but it was clean and adequate. No fridge. The hotel staff was friendly.2021-07-03"
"Good location near restaurants, stores, and bars. The hotel was clean and organized, and the employees were professional, fast, and efficient. I had a great stay.2016-08-27"
"Lots to do in the area. The hotel was clean throughout, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic. Parking was in a lot about a block away, but there was an affordable valet service available.2016-08-19"
"This is a budget motel. Not at all fancy, but it was adequate. Located on a busy street. The room was clean, though the beds weren't great. The bathroom door handle was falling off. Breakfast was pretty nice and included hot selections, but the sausage wasn't ready until 20 minutes after opening one morning. The staff seemed pleasant enough. Bring your ear plugs if you're bothered by road noise at night.2017-10-03"
"The motel was quiet and easy to access. The front desk clerk was efficient. No problems, and I was able to have my dog in the room.2015-08-01"

"Great location. The hotel room was small but adequate. The tiny bathroom was more of an issue. Great lobby and nice bar and restaurant. Good place for the price.2018-04-10"
"The hotel breakfast wasn't free, and the valet parking was too expensive. Good customer service, though.2018-03-01"

"Walk to many attractions. The building was old, but the hotel interior was remodeled and nice. We enjoyed our conversation with the doorman. Great place to stay.2017-05-31"
"Great location and good rates. The service was excellent. I had a comfortable stay and will certainly stay at this hotel again.2021-07-01"
"Cats were allowed. The fridge in my room wasn't cold enough. Not enough hand soap provided for extra hand-washing due to Covid. The hotel clerks were warm and welcoming. The on-site restaurant was closed.2020-12-20"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
