"Good experience. The E line bus dropped me off right in front of the motel. Stay here.2019-06-27"
"Not a good value. I could hear street noise at night, and one of the windows was broken. There were holes in the wall. No phone book. Someone called about my son smoking in the car, and the front desk clerk told him he had to go inside because he was creepy. Don't stay at this motel.2016-04-30"
"This motel beat paying for a high-priced downtown hotel. The room was clean and quiet, with good amenities. A $20 cab ride to the heart of the city, and you can't even park downtown for that.2015-08-04"
"The hotel room was clean, and everything worked. The beds were comfortable. Just had to turn in the keys at checkout. Breakfast could've been better. Book it.2022-09-01"
"The hotel was older, but it was cheap and worked fine. Good location. The TV didn't work at all, and one room light didn't work. The one good employee couldn't leave the front desk to assist. There was a McDonald's 3 blocks away.2021-10-29"
"The hotel was certainly adequate for the price, and the staff was outstanding.2020-06-21"
"Clean hotel with good Covid safety features. It was hard to find, though, and the room was small.2020-08-20"
"Nice room and continental breakfast. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful, and the shuttle to and from the hospital was convenient. I recommend staying here.2019-12-31"

"My family had a comfortable stay at this hotel. Our 2-bedroom suite slept 6; it was like having an apartment, with a living room, 2 TVs, 2 bathrooms, and a small, fully-equipped kitchen. The staff was accommodating, and we were able to store our luggage until our cruise later in the afternoon. Breakfast was a plus.2016-09-01"
"Quite far from town. Rates were affordable. Our suite had a great layout and was very clean. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen. The hotel shuttle was relaible and ran ever 90 minutes.2016-05-27"
"The hotel was centrally located. The bathtub wouldn't stop running, and it took 3 hours to get another room.2019-09-03"
"Nice hotel with helpful personnel. This is a good choice.2018-06-06"
"Accessible to downtown. The rates were reasonable. The room was comfortable, and the staff was willing to help. Good breakfast choices. This hotel is a good choice, but I didn't qualify for the $40 flat rate taxi to the airport because the hotel is a block from downtown.2017-09-06"
"Footsteps woke us up in the middle of the night. The hotel elevator was out of service. No restaurant.2022-09-21"
"This hotel wasn't what I expected and wasn't worth the price. The water was turned off the 2nd day of our stay, and the toilet didn't work afterwards. The employees were the only great thing about this place.2019-05-31"
"The hotel was clean and comfortable. Really close to Climate Pledge Arena.2021-11-24"
"This hotel is perfect. Book it.2018-09-13"
"Just a short distance from restaurants, McMenamins, and the Seattle Center. The handicap room was great, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the espresso and snack bar, fireside lounge, pool, and workout room. We would definitely stay here again.2018-06-09"
"The room and bed were comfortable, and the hotel staff was friendly. Only one elevator was working the day I left, and there was a line of people waiting to use it.2018-08-23"
"A fantastic hotel, but valet parking was expensive.2018-06-04"
"The hotel room was clean, and the check-in clerk was friendly. Parking was expensive.2022-10-08"
"The hotel room was nice, clean, and renovated. Limited food options at the store. The parking lot smelled bad. I recommend staying here.2021-01-16"
"Close to transportation to the Space Needle and other attractions. The hotel was comfortable and had nice views. Poor food in the restaurant, though. Stay here, just eat out.2016-08-26"
"Excellent location. The room was nice, and the bathrobes were a nice touch. The hotel staff was helpful. Stay several nights.2018-12-20"
"This hotel had great service and wonderful food.2018-09-22"
"Excellent hotel with attentive staff. I liked the old-world feel of the place. Great restaurant, but it was pricey. Only had valet parking.2017-03-22"
"The hotel was nice and clean; a bit minimalistic, but with a bit of hipness. Great personnel. We enjoyed our stay and felt it was well worth the price. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch. 2018-05-01"
"Good hotel overall, but the room rate seemed high. The room was clean and efficient. The bathroom light went off on its own at strange times, including when I was taking a shower. The staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. The soda vending machine took my money and didn't give me the product I'd selected. I recommend staying here.2022-09-09"
"The hotel was quiet even though it was right next to the freeway. It had everything I needed, and the staff was friendly.2019-04-16"
"Great value and experience. The hotel staff was excellent.2018-08-18"
"Perfect location if you're taking a cruise. The room was clean and modern, and the hotel staff was representative of the diversity and culture of Seattle. I loved eating breakfast at Biscuit Bitch. Ask for a room with a clear view or you may have a view of the building next door.2017-09-10"
"The hotel was under construction and was a mess. The street noise was really bad, and outdoor lights glared in the windows. Not worth the price.2016-07-21"
"In the summer, the hotel room choices are either very hot but quiet, or very loud but cooler. Don't recommend.2015-08-10"
"Great front desk service; the clerks offered friendly conversation and personal advice. The breakfast food was surprisingly good, and it was great having coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. There were restaurants within walking distance. Ask for a room on the Space Needle side for fun views.2019-07-23"
"We arrived at the hotel in the early morning and had a long wait before check-in, but the front desk clerk worked with us and made sure we had a nice experience.2017-08-20"
"Convenient to Seattle Center, but the area was sketchy after dark. Seemed overpriced. The room was fine but absolutely nothing special. It was small, and the sofa bed mattress was flimsy. We were disappointed that the hotel pool was closed for renovations. The cafe was partially closed.2017-07-20"
"An excellent hotel near Pike's Market and the Space Needle. There was a free shuttle to the airport. and plenty of restaurants in the area. The heated pool was nice. Parking cost $22 per day.2018-06-26"
"The hotel was clean, but homeless people came in to drink water and get coffee, and they walked around the hallways. Not a cheap place; I expected better security. Excellent employees.2016-09-13"
"I enjoyed my stay. I was at first daunted by having to make the bed, but then realized I could just wrap up like a burrito in the fluffy duvet. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the room was so clean that I walked around barefoot. Don't let the locked gate of the garage discourage you; it's one of many safety features I appreciated.2023-02-19"
"Walk to restaurants, stores, and the University of Washington. About a 30-minute commute to downtown. The room was clean and well-maintained. It was simple yet had a hip vibe. My room was near the elevator, but noise wasn't an issue at all. Friendly, helpful staff. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.2017-10-31"
"This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and it was quiet at night. The room was comfortable, and the bed was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay nice, and we loved the cupcakes at the happy hour. Enjoy.2016-08-25"
"Convenient location for UW hospital appointments. The hotel was nice and clean. Great breakfast.2022-11-24"
"Convenient location. The hotel room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the exercise room wasn't open early in the morning.2019-11-11"
"Great location. Our suite was small but sufficient, but the bed was uncomfortable and left me with a sore neck. The hotel lobby had been remodeled and was chic yet comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming.2018-11-04"
"The hotel room was dirty, with food and garbage on the floor. It looked like it was never swept or cleaned.2023-07-10"
"There were a lot of people going in and out all night. The heater, TV, and WiFi worked well, and the hotel had an elevator. Be aware that there's a $150 deposit. 2021-03-16"
"The hotel was expensive for what it offered. The room needed updating, and the carpet was shabby.2018-09-06"
"Good location. I've stayed at this motel a number of times. It's basic but has good Internet access and the room had a microwave, fridge, and flat-screen TV. The bed was comfortable. Free breakfast provided. This is a decent budget option.2017-12-04"
"Easy to access. The motel and rooms were clean, and the front desk staff was great.2017-08-05"
Seattle is a seaport city on Washington's northwestern coast, roughly 35 miles north of downtown Tacoma. It is the home of Seattle University and the University of Washington.
I loved that HotelGuides helped me find a hotel. You can try to search for one yourself, but this service was so helpful. Just click on the section of the Interstate you are driving on and you see a list of hotels that actually have rooms available.
On place pages like this, we order hotels from lowest cost to highest except we list low-rated hotels at the bottom of the page.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
