"I got bug bites at this hotel. Don't stay here.2020-11-09"
"The hotel was old, dark, and run-down. The bed was hard, there were no lamps, the lighting was poor, and I had trouble with the TV. It felt like a hospital. Entry was through a locked door with a porthole to interact with the clerk. There was a train track just 100 yards away, and I heard a train horn at 4 AM and 5 AM. Don't stay here; you're better off in a tent.2017-04-10"

"The room was clean, but smelled strongly of incense. The bed was hard and lumpy, and it was hard to regulate the air in the room. The TV and WiFi worked. The stairwell was poorly lit. Check-in was quick, and the motel clerk was friendly. Good place for a short stay, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.2020-12-22"
"The room was clean, and the motel clerks were nice. It was a little noisy at night, but not enough to keep me awake. I'd stay here again.2019-05-04"
"Close to restaurants and a gas station; walk to Denny's. The motel was under renovation during my stay. The room was average, but the bed was comfortable. The front desk clerk was friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on her face.2019-03-29"

"I loved this hotel. Definitely stay here.2015-11-05"
"This was the worst hotel I've stayed in. I'd planned to stay 3 nights, but left after 1. The entire place was dirty, including the elevator. I was given a handicap room that was dark and dingy, and it smelled like smoke. One light didn't work, and the bed was broken. One of the end doors at the hotel wasn't secure. The check-in clerk was casually dressed and didn't look professional. Don't stay here.2015-06-22"

"Not a happy stay. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I turned on the sink and water sprayed all over me, so I had to change clothes before going out to eat. The TV and phone didn't work. I don't recommend this motel.2019-01-16"

"Convenient to restaurants, and good location for attending the Masters. The hotel was clean and newly renovated, and the staff was friendly and helpful.2019-04-14"
"The bedsheets and towels were stained, and so was the carpet. We were moved to another room, but it had the same issues. The clerk brought fresh linens. Don't stay at this hotel. 2018-09-05"
"The hotel was OK, but breakfast could've been better.2018-07-24"
"We arrived at the motel at about 7 PM and were confused about how to enter the property. We finally found the door and fellow let us in after saying he "had to put his pants on." The key card worked for the gate, but not the room. The sofa was stained, and the air vent was dusty. Just a place to sleep.2021-02-16"
"This is a bare-bones motel, so bring your own amenities. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.2019-02-23"

"Close to the interstate and attractions. The hotel was pleasant.2018-06-18"
"The hotel was in need of renovation, but the room was clean. There was some construction underway downstairs. Don't expect typical Wyndham quality.2016-04-21"
"Convenient to Fort Gordon, but this hotel was awful. There was considerable construction going on to repair damage from a fire last year. We were in 3 different rooms over 2 days, and they were all dirty and smelled like smoke and mold. One had electrical problems. The bathtub didn't drain in another. The safes didn't work in 2 rooms, and one was ripped out of the wall. The manager was nice and did apologize, but our stay was disappointing.2016-02-08"
"I wasn't informed that the hotel was being renovated. The bathroom wasn't cleaned, and I didn't get fresh towels or soap. My room wasn't cleaned the last day. The breakfast food was old and moldy. Don't stay here.2015-12-01"

"No one was at the front desk when I arrived at 12:45 AM; after waiting 15 minutes, I went to the kitchen where I heard some noise. The clerk was there and unhappily checked me in. She never smiled or made eye contact. The room was clean, but the beds were terrible. In the morning, the elevator was being used by the housekeepers and was full of dirty laundry. I had to use the stairs. The checkout clerk was nice but busy. Not much food left at breakfast at 9 AM.2018-08-06"

"Signage to the motel was lacking. I was given a handicap room I didn't need. There was no electrical outlet by one of the bedside lamps, and the lamp by the sofa was broken. Not enough parking available.2018-11-22"

"Hotel was dirty - in one of our rooms, the AC didn't work - in another room, the TV didn't work - not enough bathroom supplies provided, and there was no shower curtain - in our room, the bed was like a teeter-totter, and we found syringes behind the headboard - shower curtain was too short, and not enough toiletries were provided - we were moved to a suite, but the sofa bed was unfit to sleep on - suite was right by the elevator, which was noisy and didn't seem safe - staff was incompetent and unprofessional - we were disappointed that the pool wasn't open - couldn't wait to leave.2014-05-01"

"The hotel was dirty and poorly maintained. Don't stay here.2018-06-21"
"We were disappointed and almost checked out when we saw the room, but it was late and we were tired. The furniture was in poor condition, and the upholstered chairs were so soiled that my wife wouldn't use them. The bathroom fan sounded like a helicopter taking off. No AC in the hallways or common areas, and the hallway carpet was badly stained. On a positive note, the room was clean. Pay a little more and stay at a better hotel.2018-05-18"

Augusta is perhaps best known as the home of the Augusta National Golf Club and The Masters golf tournament in April. You can find a wide variety of hotels from budget to luxury near the Augusta National, Fort Gordon and throughout the city.
Most of the downtown Augusta area is a historic district with pre-Civil War architecture. As a monthly event, Artists Row features a number of galleries, restaurants, and boutiques that stay open late for First Friday.
The city has a number of public parks and nature areas with hiking and biking paths, including the Riverwalk. For visitors seeking urban entertainment, Augusta offers regional cuisine, museums, and cultural attractions, and a number of art and music festivals are held each year.
