"Good hotel overall. My room was in back away from the road; it was clean, quiet, and everything worked. The fridge I'd asked for wasn't in the room when I arrived, but it was brought up quickly. The washcloth had holes in it. There was no sugar at breakfast and no attendant to tell. I was driving an 18-wheeler, and though there was space to park, there was barely enough room to turn the truck around.2015-10-21"
"The hotel was nothing special, and the room was just OK. The staff was abrupt and not overly accommodating. The indoor pool was freezing. Not worth the price.2021-04-25"

"Easy to access. A pleasant, clean room and great hotel staff. My only complaint was that the bed was hard and the Garden Sleep System didn't work. The pool was nice.2016-07-15"
"Easy check-in. I recommend this hotel.2015-07-08"
"The location was difficult to access. We asked for room servicing after our 4th day, but it didn't happen. We did get towels, soap, and trash bags. Covid rules weren't properly communicated at check-in. The bathroom mirror was useless.2020-10-16"

"Well worth a stay. The hotel room was clean, and the staff was friendly.2015-05-21"
"A typical older, overpriced Florida motel. The room was damp and smelled like mildew. The check-in clerk wasn't welcoming or friendly. Find a nicer place to stay.2017-08-30"
"Close to lots of restaurants. The motel room was really dirty. The bedsheets weren't washed, the floor was dirty, and the shower wasn't clean. Good enough if you just need a cheap place to sleep for a night.2016-07-04"
"Right by a shopping strip and various restaurants. The carpet in my motel room was stained, though it seemed carpet-cleaning was underway. The bathtub was dirty, and the shower curtain smelled bad, so I asked for a replacement. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay.2016-06-11"
"Clean hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Stay here.2021-12-20"
"The room looked and smelled clean, but we found fleas hopping around on the bed. We appreciated the dog-friendly policy, but not the fleas. Someone upstairs played loud music all night, so it was hard to sleep. 2017-09-07"
"Great location near the interstate. Good rates. The hotel was newer and clean throughout. The decor wasn't fussy, but it was nice, and the room was perfect. The employees were personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was top-notch, and the eating area was clean. I'll stay here again.2022-10-24"
"The hotel was clean and nice, but it wasn't cheap.2022-03-15"
"The hotel room was bare, with no wall at all. I was disappointed. Not worth the price.2021-10-10"
"The hotel was convenient but expensive. The room was clean, and the front desk clerks were friendly. The breakfast hostess was especially friendly and helpful.2023-06-05"
"The room smelled musty, and the TV didn't work. The AC had no low setting. The coffee maker was dusty and dirty. The shower was like a spigot, and the bathroom sink drained slowly. The toilet flushed erratically and not well. The only plus was that we got plenty of clean towels. Find another hotel. 2021-12-19"
"Everything was nice. The hotel was clean, the staff was awesome, and breakfast was great. You'll enjoy your stay.2017-07-07"

"Good hotel.2020-02-04"
"I was given a handicap room just off the lobby. I woke at 2 AM to the sound of a night shift worker singing, and I couldn't get back to sleep. Ask for a room away from the lobby.2018-04-22"
"The hotel wasn't beautiful, but it was clean and served its purpose. The fridge could've been colder. The staff was helpful, and breakfast was good. I had a good night's sleep.2023-04-17"

"Convenient to Baptist Hospital. The motel was old and grungy; the entire place needed updating. The room had a fridge and microwave. The shower didn't work, and the light by the sink was on a sensor and turned on by itself in the middle of the night. You get what you pay for.2021-10-30"
"Close to downtown and easy to access from the interstate. The hotel was pet friendly. There was something metal under the bed. All the employees were nice, and breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay.2019-11-19"
"Decent hotel for a budget price, though it was older and needed remodeling. Clean room and nice staff, especially the breakfast attendants. Parking was a bit tight for large vehicles. I'd stay here again.2015-10-19"

"We found 2 packs of cigarettes in our smoke-free room. The smoke detector was detached and lying in a drawer. The room smelled bad and had gnats, and we weren't confident that the bedding was clean. Just one roll of toilet paper provided, and it was partially used and wasn't even on the holder. The sink didn't drain well. We didn't feel comfortable staying and decided to check out and find another motel.2020-06-06"
"The motel room wasn't clean, and the bathroom smelled bad. Don't stay here.2017-11-27"
"I've stayed at this motel before. Good room for the price, though renovations were underway. My room was quiet and clean, and that's what is important to me. Nice staff and good continental breakfast with eggs and sausage. There was a lounge next door.2015-10-12"
"The hotel was hard to navigate in a wheelchair, but the staff was gracious and helpful.2019-05-09"
"Close to the University of West Florida. I had a great stay. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and affordable. The staff was friendly. Bring cookware to prepare your meals.2018-06-15"
"The hotel had poor soundproofing, so I could hear everything in surrounding rooms. No assistance after 8 PM. Don't stay here.2017-07-18"
HotelGuides made it easy to choose a hotel based on how far we wanted to get that day. Also liked being able to see the interstate interchange on the map to determine how far off the highway each hotel was.
We order the hotels on this page by how close they are to this attraction.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
