"The hotel smelled awful, and the hallway carpeting was nasty. The key card machine wasn't working, so we had to be escorted to our room by an employee. The bathtub was rusty and needed to be resurfaced. The ice machine was broken and moldy. Don't stay here.2021-11-09"
"The Sleep Number bed didn't work, and that was the reason we chose this hotel. We'll stay elsewhere next time.2016-01-18"
"The carpet in our hotel room was soaked between the beds; we put a towel on it and it was yellow when we returned. When we complained to the front desk, we were told the housekeeper would check it out. There was mold in the bathtub, and the paint was peeling above the shower. This was the worst Marriott property I've stayed in, and I don't recommend it.2017-11-09"
"Near the Hard Rock Stadium. Good bed with soft pillows. The hotel clerk told us about the Original Pancake House just a 10-minute drive away. Give her a gold star.2017-01-02"
"The spare blanket for the sofa bed was filthy, so we had to get another blanket at 12:30 AM. Everything else was fine, though. Book a room at at this hotel.2016-04-18"
"Clean hotel with pleasant employees. Breakfast ended too early, though. A pleasant experience.2016-03-23"
"The hotel was clean and homey. Good-sized room, and I liked the layout. The shower water wasn't hot enough, though. The front desk clerks were great. Had a gym and pool. Breakfast lasted until 10 AM, which was nice. Good experience overall.2016-01-28"
"I couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was just what we needed to accommodate relatives from different areas. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was handy, and breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful stay.2016-11-04"

"The hotel was nice and clean, and the front desk clerks were kind. The doors close slowly, so be aware of that if you're a woman traveling alone.2022-09-17"
"Nothing worked at this hotel; not the elevators, the key card readers, the TV, or WiFi. SThe AC was old and barely worked. There was a dehumidifier, but everything was damp in the morning. Worst of all, not the young employees who acted like high schoolers. The desk clerk ignored me and talked on her phone until I spoke up. In the middle of check-in, she started texting. She gave us the wrong room key, so we had to return to the desk and get the right key. The morning clerk yelled about her health issues and how the problems weren't her fault. Don't stay here.2023-03-10"
"There were cockroaches in the room and bathroom. Don't stay at this hotel.2020-02-13"
"Bring ear plugs if you get a room facing I-95. There was an on-ramp right next to the hotel that was used by a lot of trucks. There was a $1 fee for the in-room safe.2020-01-03"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
