"There was hair in the sink and shower, and used dental floss under the sink. The handrails were covered in a white, powdery substance. No liner in the garbage cans, and there was dust all over the headboard. I was dissatisfied with this hotel stay. 2015-11-03"
"The motel was OK, but the room seemed to be under renovation. The flooring was new and the paint was fresh, but the molding was banged up. There was space for a fridge that wasn't there. No microwave or drawers. There was a hole in the bathroom for a heat light. Don't stay here until work is complete.2022-10-24"
"From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The staff was exceptional, and helped us with every need we had. The hotel was well-kept and clean. I highly recommend it.2023-02-23"

"Low rates, and you get what you pay for. We heard a lot of noise from other guests, and we were told no other rooms were available. The bathroom sink didn't drain. We were able to change rooms the next day. Not a good family experience.2020-05-10"

"The hotel was simple. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. We asked for a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke and there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector. The floor was dusty, and the counter was sticky. There were strands of hair hanging off the microwave handle, and there was hair in the shower. The shower curtain was a foot too short, so water leaked on the floor. On a positive note, the room had a kitchenette, and the bed was comfortable.2019-09-16"
"Not worth the price. We stayed for 3 nights, and the hotel had a strong, perfume-like smell. If you're sensitive to scents, this isn't the place for you. The toilet in our room didn't flush well, so we had to call maintenance twice. No extra electrical outlets near the bed; we had to unplug the clock to charge our phones. The on-site restaurant had a minimal menu during happy hour, and it was so noisy that it was hard to carry on a conversation. Stay somewhere else.2016-11-04"
"The hotel was clean and quiet, and the front desk clerks were helpful and attentive. I liked the breakfast, and the evening meal was a great benefit. We enjoyed our stay.2017-01-01"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
