"There were stairs at the hotel entry, which was an issue for us. The room looked tired. The bed was quite low and soft, and the linens needed updating. The bathroom in our handicap room looked recently renovated. The front desk clerks were pleasant and welcoming. There were home-made cookies in the afternoon, and soda, coffee, and flavored water were always available. The full breakfast bar was an unexpected surprise.2019-01-22"
"An amazing hotel for the price. The room was clean, and we were able to get a cot for an extra $15 per night. The beds were full-sized, not queens. The bathroom was really clean and spacious. The front desk clerk was warm and welcoming, and our kids had so much fun in the activity room and indoor pool. Great food at the complimentary breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again.2020-01-14"
"This hotel was a disappointment. The rates were expensive, but the amenities were cheap. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. No complimentary breakfast or even coffee. A glass of wine cost $14, and it was $13 for a small bowl of tater tots with cheese and sauce. Don't stay here.2023-08-05"

"Not a good value. The 1st room smelled strongly of smoke. The staff kindly moved us to another room. The decor was quite dated, and it smelled stale. The balcony was dilapidated and overlooked a trash-strewn parking lot. The AC was old and loud. The bathtub was stained. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable. I don't recommend this hotel.2021-07-28"

"Convenient to the airport, and the free shuttle was a bonus. The hotel staff was pleasant, especially the early morning clerk when my flight was cancelled. He was helpful with getting me booked on Amtrak.2021-08-24"
"The motel was clean and conveniently located, and the bed was comfortable. However, the room was small and hard to get around, and the heater was loud. There were no grab bars in the shower, and only one bar of soap was provided. I never got my requested wake-up call. The walkways and parking lot had holes and raised surfaces. The complimentary breakfast was OK but nothing special. 2019-09-18"
"The room was well-appointed, and the hotel staff was welcoming and competent. The on-site restaurant was a blessing for weary travelers. Ask for a room away from the main road.2016-09-16"
"Considering the high price, the hotel room was small; we felt like we were in a basement. The room was clean, but not aesthetically appealing. Don't stay here.2022-09-01"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
