"The hotel was extremely high-priced, but the services were average at best. No tea or coffee service in the room. Had to ask for it, and keep asking every day of my stay. The desk in the room was almost completely covered with things the hotel wants you to buy. I found it quite tasteless, and it left little room to put my laptop and belongings. I had to request better housekeeping one day. A glass of wine in the restaurant cost $16. The bar had loud music on constantly, and it dominated the foyer. If you like a nice, peaceful hotel with a quiet bar, don't stay here.2015-11-08"
"The hotel was a little dated, but it was OK. The check-in clerk didn't explain how the elevator worked.2022-01-15"
"I had an enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful. I appreciated that the ferry to NYC was right outside the door, and there was a shuttle back from the Port Imperial ferry later in the evening. Be prepared for the $25 parking fee.2018-10-15"
"Great hotel room. I had a gorgeous view of New York across the water. The bed was luxurious. Great restaurant downstairs. My stay was very pleasant.2015-05-12"

"The hotel staff was accommodating. I arrived late and needed dining referrals; they pulled out menus for several area restaurants. Be aware of the parking fee.2016-07-18"
"A fantastic hotel. The room was much more spacious than is typical for NYC. Ample bath and great amenities. Wonderful staff and bar and restaurant. I'd definitely stay here again.2017-08-16"
"We were on the 8th floor, and the elevator was out of service our entire stay. The hotel clerk didn't offer a discount.2020-01-08"
"The hotel was clean, comfortable, and close to Madison Square Garden. On the down side, it was pricey.2017-09-11"
"Walk to stores, eateries, and Times Square. The hotel room was nice, but very small. Breakfast smelled good, but it was so crowded that we went out.2015-05-27"
"The hotel was centrally located and close to good restaurants, activities, and the subway. There was a Whole Foods just around the corner, and a Trader Joe's a few blocks away. I walked everywhere. The customer service was really good, but the elevators were dirty.2020-09-29"
"We were satisfied with the service. I recommend this hotel.2018-06-11"
"This is a no-frills hotel. The room was small but clean, and the shower had good water pressure. The employees were helpful and friendly. Not a fantastic location, but there were restaurants within walking distance.2016-02-20"
"We had to change rooms 3 times, and the rooms weren't ready until 5 PM. The fridge was off, and it was dirty. Not enough towels provided. The staff was rude and unhelpful. Don't stay at this hotel.2022-09-05"
"My stay was terrible. The hotel was dirty and run-down. There was no water for a full day, and when the water came back on, there was a leak in the ceiling that got our beds and clothing wet. Many of the employees didn't speak English well, so it was a struggle to communicate. Don't stay here.2019-10-07"
"Loved the location. The hotel room was clean and spacious and had 2 bathrooms. The TV didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal since we were busy. The employees were helpful. We were glad we stayed here.2018-01-28"
I loved that HotelGuides helped me find a hotel. You can try to search for one yourself, but this service was so helpful. Just click on the section of the Interstate you are driving on and you see a list of hotels that actually have rooms available.
We order the hotels on this page by how close they are to this attraction.

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
