"My 1st impression of the motel wasn't positive. People were smoking outside, and others were outside of rooms with a case of beer. Fortunately, it was quiet at night, but our car was vandalized. The accommodations were average at best. The staff was friendly, but I don't recommend staying here.2021-06-05"
"A decent motel for the price, and it was close to the exam site for cosmetology and barbering. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The pool and whirlpool weren't open.2021-04-18"
"I found ants in the bathroom and on my bedsheets, and I had to wipe down the lights and counters before using them because they were dusty. There was debris along the side of the bed frame. At least I had clean towels the 2nd day. The motel staff was courteous.2020-08-29"
"The room was OK. The check-in clerk was rude and unwelcoming, but the checkout clerk was nice. Lousy breakfast in a bag, with a frozen breakfast burrito, a granola bar, and water. Parking was limited. Stay at another hotel.2021-08-29"
"The hotel was clean, and check-in was quick and friendly. We asked for extra towels, and they were promptly available at the front desk. We did hear some noise upstairs.2021-08-25"
"The hotel was comfortable. I recommend staying here.2021-03-17"
"I had a wonderful stay. Nice, clean, spacious room and friendly employees. The complimentary breakfast and dinner were convenient. The only drawback was that there were some smoking rooms in the hotel, and I had to request a room change at night because of the smell. The front desk clerk was courteous and apologetic, and even offered to help me move my belongings.2017-04-01"
"Nice room. It could've been cleaner but was relatively quiet. I had a handicap room, but the bathtub only had grab bars and a standard showerhead. The staff was pleasant. I recommend this hotel.2019-04-23"
"The hotel wasn't that clean, and the hallway paint was scuffed and dirty. The room was clean but needed cosmetic repairs. I called for towels and was told to pick them up myself at the front desk. Check-in took forever. Breakfast was a joke; we went at 7:30, and everything had already run out. The hotel clerk tried to keep up with both his desk job and keeping breakfast stocked, but there were a lot of upset people waiting to eat. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.2019-04-10"
"The smoke alarm kept beeping and woke us up. Breakfast was overcooked. Find another hotel.2018-05-31"

"Great experience and good location for our wine tasting adventure. The suite had a kitchenette and was quiet and reasonably priced. Good service and a nice, warm breakfast. Stay here.2021-12-30"
"I was upset that the hotel staff woudn't do anything about people drinking and talking in front of the entrance. Don't stay here.2019-05-26"
"Affordable and fairly close to Travis AFB, but I didn't feel safe at this motel. The police were called one night due to a disturbance, and the room was in poor condition. Spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.2016-06-21"

"This is a bare-bones hotel. The bed was lumpy and hard as a rock. The kitchen had a 2-burner stove, full-sized fridge, and a microwave. I had to check out a small coffee maker and spoon. No drinking cups provided. Nice towels, but just a sliver of soap was provided. The grab and go breakfast was just juice and coffee. The staff was as kind and helpful as possible, but I don't recommend staying here.2019-03-30"
"I arrived at the hotel after midnight; it took a few minutes for the staff to let me in, but the room was large and had a great view of the bay. I liked the breakfast to go.2018-06-08"

"This was one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels I've stayed in. The room was clean, but the mattress was too firm. I liked the full-sized bathtub. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, with a wide selection of hot and cold food.2016-11-28"
"Nice hotel room with everything we needed. The check-in clerk was friendly and delightful, so our stay began on a positive note.2016-07-04"
"The hotel was nice and clean. I had my 3 children with me, and we used the stairs frequently. People in the room below complained to the front desk about our noise, though we were only there in the evenings and did nothing loud except use the stairs. Great place, but make sure you get a room on an appropriate floor.2018-07-01"
"Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. No problems.2021-04-05"
"The hotel was clean and quiet, but it was being repainted during our stay. The toilet paper dispenser was inconveniently located. Good service and nice personnel. Great place to stay.2018-04-16"
"About 20 minutes from Cal Maritime. The hotel was nice and clean, and my 2nd floor room was so quiet. The AC was easy to adjust, and the temperature remained constant. The bathroom was small. Lovely check-in; because I signed up for Hilton Hours, I received a bottle of water and cookies, and the front desk clerk gave me a certificate for a drink at the bar.2017-08-28"

Nice hotel, but it seemed to have a housekeeping staff shortage while we were there. Our room had a great view of the vineyard, and the bed was comfortable. The shuttle to downtown Napa in the evenings was very helpful.

"Lots of restaurants in the area. My room had hardwood floors and had been recently remodeled; it looked great. The hotel clerks were friendly. Ask for a room away from the highway. Great place to stay.2017-07-26"
"Our keys stopped working twice, but the hotel staff was nice and accommodating.2017-06-17"
"This motel needed serious upgrading. The rooms were dirty and the carpets were gross. I finally took the 3rd room offered. It was a disgusting place and I'll never stay here again.2017-04-06"
"The room, bathroom, and white linens were dirty. The clock was set to the wrong time, so we ended up with just 5 minutes to scarf down breakfast. I definitely won't stay at this motel again.2015-08-06"
"This motel was very dirty. Don't stay here.2015-07-09"
"The hotel was nice and convenient, and the room was pretty clean. There were a lot of kids staying, though, so we weren't able to relax in the whirlpool. Other than that, we had a great stay.2017-07-20"
"A good, quiet hotel with big rooms and great service.2017-07-14"
"Nice, clean hotel with pleasant employees.2016-10-19"
"One of the beds in my hotel room wasn't made, and there were keys between the bedsheets on the other bed.2020-01-18"
"The hotel had poor soundproofing, and the neighbors' noise kept us awake late at night and woke us up early. The bathtub was too slippery, and there was no hair dryer in the bathroom.2017-04-26"
"I asked for a quiet room and got one. Clean room, but we did have to ask for shampoo since only conditioner had been provided. The hotel clerk was extremely helpful and pleasant to interact with. The only dining nearby was at chain restaurants.2016-02-12"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
