"Good, central location. The hotel room was spacious and clean. A group of us stayed, and it was nice being able to meet downstairs and have breakfast together. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and the takeout pizza and drinks from the bar. The staff was friendly. Stay here.2016-04-06"
"Good location. Hotel was clean. Front desk seemed understaffed, and I had a less than cordial conversation with a clerk when I called for directions.2015-03-09"
"Great location, but the hotel was rather outdated. The bathroom fixtures leaked, and the room was like a sauna after every shower. The front desk clerks were pretty good, and the breakfast attendants were exceptional. Stay here.2022-01-26"
"The hotel clerk directed me to an elevator that was out of order, and I was carrying a heavy ice chest and running late. Another employee then directed me to another elevator.2019-11-04"
"Check-in didn't go smoothly, and we didn't get a room with a handicap shower, which was necessary for my elderly father-in-law. The hotel clerk seemed annoyed that we asked for different rooms and ended up giving us two ground floor rooms in separate buildings. When my father-in-law's insulin monitor sounded late at night, I had to run out in my pajamas to his building. I left a Do Not Disturb sign on the door while I was sleeping, and when I went to breakfast at 8 AM, there was a note on the door that my room wouldn't be serviced. The AC was noisy and didn't work well, and the hallways were intolerably hot. The microwaves in both our rooms burned our popcorn. Someone broke into our van in the hotel parking lot the 2nd night. When we reported it to the front desk clerks, they were apathetic and said there were no security cameras in the lot.2019-09-07"
"This hotel was wonderful. I loved the suite and kitchen area.2018-10-09"
"Quiet area near many shops and restaurants. Good value. I had a nice, clean hotel room, and the kitchenette was a bonus. Easy check-in and checkout.2015-09-28"
"The beds were super comfortable, and the hotel staff was friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.2021-06-24"
"Good place to stay. Convenient to both Roseville and Rocklin. The hotel room was clean.2021-04-15"
"The hotel was going through construction, so it was difficult to find the temporary entrance. The room was clean and quiet, and the bathroom was extra large and had a walk-in shower. No microwave. Breakfast was better than average, and I liked the on-site mini store.2019-06-02"
"The rates were too high on weekends. There were bugs by the beds and in the bathroom. No towels available at night, and the shower didn't have no-slip strips. The pool was really small. Don't stay at this hotel.2019-07-16"
"I didn't have a great experience at this hotel, but I did enjoy the breakfast buffet.2015-06-25"
"Mattress was hard as a rock, and the sheets didn't fit and came off during the night. The chair wasn't comfortable, either. Don't stay at this hotel.2015-03-15"
"Excellent hotel. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly, sincere, and helpful. I was even addressed by name. Good complimentary breakfast. I give my stay a 10.2016-05-22"
"I was impressed; the hotel was comfortable and cozy. We felt at home. Had a heated pool and breakfast. Stay here; it's worth the price.2016-02-17"

"The room and bathroom were small, and I heard traffic noise from the freeway. The entry to the hotel and elevators didn't seem safe, and neither did the parking lot. The restaurant food wasn't good. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again and don't recommend it.2019-10-31"
"Everything was perfect, and the hotel staff was helpful.2018-10-23"
"Good rates. The hotel was nice and clean, and I didn't hear any road noise. The room was compact but comfortable.2018-01-16"
"Good stay. The motel was clean, and the staff took care of my needs. I had a couple of issues, but overall it was great.2023-08-05"
"The motel needed better signage to rooms and elevators, but I recommend staying here.2019-12-24"
"The motel was clean and comfortable. With the exception of some noisy guests, I had a nice experience. If you're staying in summer, be aware that the pool closes at 10 PM.2019-06-27"
"The hotel room was comfortable. Good variety of food at breakfast. If you're staying in the manor, give yourself plenty of time to walk to the breakfast room.2018-06-14"
"Close to the lake, and the grounds were nice. The hotel was old and smelled musty. The room was humid, and the carpet needed to be replaced. The trees blocked my view of the lake. I probably wouldn't stay here again.2016-04-16"
"The hotel was within walking distance of the quaint downtown, which made it easy to check out local shops. Close to the American River, and especially nice in the summer. I had a pleasant stay.2015-12-27"
"The motel was OK, but the beds could've been better and the landscaping needed improvement.2019-11-22"
"There was nowhere to hang clothes in the motel room. The mattress was worn out. There were homeless people roaming the property at all hours of the night, so safety was a concern for me. Don't stay here.2017-03-04"

"The hotel carpeting was worn and dirty, and my room smelled bad. I was supposed to stay 4 nights, but left after 1. The staff was understanding. Consider other options.2021-09-27"
"A wonderful hotel. Convenient to the highway, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean, the staff was pleasant, and check-in was fast. I enjoyed my stay. 2022-08-16"
"The hotel was nice and quiet, and the staff was friendly.2020-10-30"
"I enjoyed my stay and recommend this motel.2017-10-04"
"We were happy to stay with our dog, but our pet-friendly room didn't smell good. The mattress wasn't that comfortable, but other than that, our stay was fine. Ask for a room away from the highway.2017-09-25"
"The motel had roaches. Don't stay here.2017-06-13"
HotelGuides made it easy to choose a hotel based on how far we wanted to get that day. Also liked being able to see the interstate interchange on the map to determine how far off the highway each hotel was.
We order the hotels on this page by how close they are to this attraction.
Most of our competitors order these same hotels in other ways that make them more money.
How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
