"Great, large, beautiful room, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I liked the balcony and great view, and the bed and linens were comfortable. The AC didn't work well. The shower was dated but clean and had great water pressure. The bar food was disappointing, and the drinks were expensive. I recommend this hotel.2017-09-10"

"Great hotel experience. We were pleased with our immaculate room, and the service was stellar. The parking attendants were courteous and super efficient, and the front desk clerk was personable, helpful, and professional. You won't be disappointed.2016-06-28"
"Close to UCLA Medical Center. The hotel was nicely decorated, and the room was updated and clean. It wasn't large, but was fine for the two of us. The bathroom was nice but also small. The valet staff and front desk clerks were helpful. Great bistro cafe with healthy sandwiches and great cocktails. Easy valet parking. Ralph's supermarket across the street and stores nearby. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.2015-09-06"

"Great location near major attractions. The rates were reasonable. My room faced Olympic Avenue, so I heard a lot of traffic noise. Ask for a room on the quiet side of the building. The hotel clerk was awesome.2018-09-08"

"There were homeless people outside the building all the time. The hotel was a high-rise, and we had to park on a level that was deserted. The door from the parking level to the hotel wasn't locked, and there was no security. On the bright side, the room looked and felt clean, and the staff was super nice. There were lots of restaurants and stores within 2 or 3 miles.2020-10-25"

"A wonderful hotel. The front desk clerk was so helpful and kind.2020-05-02"
"Walking distance to Rodeo Drive. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and the bus stopped in front of the hotel. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and bright. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome, and the concierge was helpful and printed a map for us. Excellent food at the on-site restaurant. I've already recommended this hotel to friends.2015-11-10"

"Bad location but still a bit expensive. The hotel was old and needed maintenance. The bedding on the sofa bed was dirty, and the door latch was broken. The bathroom was so tiny there was no space to turn around. The breakfast food was plain. Parking was difficult with a large vehicle. We needed a cart for our luggage and were told to take it back ourselves.2019-08-03"
"The room was clean and had a microwave and fridge. The hotel clerks and valet were friendly and helpful. The coffee left much to be desired. Great little lounge. We'll definitely stay here again.2018-12-09"
"The shower didn't have a door or shower curtain, so the bathroom got wet when we showered. Other than that, our stay was fine. The hotel staff was nice, and breakfast was great.2018-06-02"
"The hotel clerk was pleasant and professional. The parking entry was small, and the valet parking was an unexpected expense.2017-10-24"
"The hotel was clean. Nice staff was good breakfast. There were guest computers in the lobby, so I was able to print out my boarding passes. Parking was valet only, but it was reasonably priced.2017-06-25"

"The location to UCLA can't be beat. Good hotel, but not incredible considering the price. It was quiet except for some clunking noises below my room in the morning. The employees were really great and helped me several times. Ask for a room on a higher floor to avoid traffic noise.2016-08-30"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
