"A 20-minute walk to the hospital. The room was plain but decent, and the bed was comfortable. No carpeting, which was fine with me. I'd asked for a smoking room, but got a smoke-free room. My request for an early check-in was denied. I waited 20 minutes for the office to open. The motel clerk was rude and even asked for my credit card PIN; I had to shield the numbers with my hand.
