Fort Irwin is in the Mojave Desert in southern California. It lies between Death Valley National Park and the Mojave National Preserve.The main gate is on the south side of the post on Fort Irwin Road. The closest hotel is the Landmark Inn at Fort Irwin. Additional hotels are along I-15.
