"The hotel was fine. The price matched the accommodations.2016-05-07"
"Rates weren't bad for the area. This hotel smelled bad, mostly in the hallways and entry, but it was clean and quiet. The room was adequate, though there were a few stains on the carpet. Minimal TV channel selection. Housekeeping was helpful and friendly; the front desk staff could learn from them. Plenty of parking available.2015-04-24"
"The motel was comfortable. I had a pleasant stay.2017-04-13"
"Decent room for a decent price. Nice pool and whirlpool. Good breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.2016-08-18"
"An older but well-kept motel. There was too much noise from outside activity at night, including the pool area. Didn't like the foam pillows. If you're fussy, stay at a newer hotel.2016-08-12"

"Walk to restaurants. The hotel was being renovated, but the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was helpful. We'll be back.2019-03-11"
"A terrible experience. I requested a 1st floor room due to a bad knee, but I got an upper floor room. The room was clean but shabby. Good mattress; I slept well. The key card didn't work, so I had to return to the front desk to get another one, which also didn't work. The hotel clerk finally came up and opened the door for me, but when I expressed concern about the key not working when I returned from my car, he said I should just leave the door open. No elevator. I'll never stay here again.2017-09-16"
"Quiet hotel. The wireless Internet didn't work, and no one was able to fix the problem for 4 days. The clerk spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored guests at the desk. The staff wasn't well-trained in check-in or problem-solving. The complimentary bikes were nice.2015-06-22"
"Good location for walking around town and campus. Great value. Clean, basic room. OK continental breakfast. For a quieter stay, ask for an upper-level room on the back side of the motel. A bar across the street had live music until 11 PM.2015-05-25"
"The hotel was an easy-going place to stay. The staff was friendly, and the checkout clerk was super nice and helpful with UC Davis information. Seasons restaurant on the corner was a nice place for dinner. Lots of shops and restaurants downtown.2016-09-22"
"Great location. The hotel was clean and environmentally conscious. Good place for the price. I had a totally pleasant experience.2016-06-01"

"The hotel room was beautiful, and the service was great. However, the AC was terrible; we could barely sleep because of the lack of air flow.2016-08-21"

"Close to the outlets and restaurants. The hotel was clean, and the staff was accommodating.2016-11-09"
"Good, clean hotel overall, but the mattress sagged in the middle and needed to be replaced. When I arrived, a front desk clerk was on the phone and never even addressed me while I waited for 15 minutes. Another employee finally checked me in, but without any pleasantries. Not a great first impression. The housekeeper didn't change the bedsheets. We enjoyed the pool, but there were no towels. The front desk clerk reluctantly gave us some. An OK place to crash, but don't expect much customer service.2016-08-03"
"Clean hotel room with no freeway noise, and the price was right. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Wish breakfast were available until 10 AM, but I loved it here and would definitely return.2016-02-05"
"The room was clean, but the decor was tasteless, and the window covering wasn't adequate. The bathroom lighting was poor, and there was no exhaust fan so the bathroom steamed up when I showered. Water got on the floor no matter what we did, so we had to put towels down. The staff was great and made our stay, but we don't recommend this hotel.2018-05-01"
"The hotel was under construction during our stay, and there was banging right next to our room. The staff was friendly, but we left after one day.2019-03-24"
"Average hotel. The rates seemed high, but the location was convenient. The ice machine on my floor broke, so I had to go to a different floor for ice. I'd stay here again.2015-09-16"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
