"I had a pleasant stay. The room was above average, and the employees were nice. The pool was clean, and the breakfast layout was good. You won't be disappointed if you choose this hotel.2019-06-08"
"The room was clean and adequate, and the hotel clerks were exceptionally kind and helpful.2018-11-26"
"Good location. The hotel room was nice, but the 1st floor was like a basement. Breakfast wasn't that good. No elevator, and the luggage cart was being used by staff when I was leaving.2015-05-24"
"Close to the lake, and the grounds were nice. The hotel was old and smelled musty. The room was humid, and the carpet needed to be replaced. The trees blocked my view of the lake. I probably wouldn't stay here again.2016-04-16"
"The hotel was within walking distance of the quaint downtown, which made it easy to check out local shops. Close to the American River, and especially nice in the summer. I had a pleasant stay.2015-12-27"

"Good hotel room and housekeepers.2019-10-02"
"The room wasn't huge, but the size was adequate and the furnishings were in excellent condition. Plenty of amenities and extras. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.2017-09-04"
"Convenient location just off Hwy. 50 near the outlet stores, the mall, and old Folsom. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The front desk clerks were helpful and friendly. No hot water for showers the last morning; I was compensated with a free breakfast, but it wasn't very good. Nice lobby; we had a gathering at the large table, and it was comfortable and inviting.2016-09-08"
"The hotel carpeting was worn and dirty, and my room smelled bad. I was supposed to stay 4 nights, but left after 1. The staff was understanding. Consider other options.2021-09-27"

"I enjoyed my stay and recommend this motel.2017-10-04"
"We were happy to stay with our dog, but our pet-friendly room didn't smell good. The mattress wasn't that comfortable, but other than that, our stay was fine. Ask for a room away from the highway.2017-09-25"
"The motel had roaches. Don't stay here.2017-06-13"
"This was my 2nd stay. The lobby and landscaping were undergoing renovation. The room was well-equipped and had tasteful decor, and the bed was comfortable. The motel clerk was congenial. Adequate continental breakfast. I liked parking right outside the door. Give it a shot if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room.2016-08-23"
"I liked it here and would stay again. The room was spacious, and the carpet was clean. The motel clerks were nice and helpful. Go for it.2017-08-01"
"The motel was nice and comfortable, and the front desk clerks were friendly. I had a good stay.2016-11-11"
"The motel was affordable, and the room and pool area were clean. The room carpet looked old, but renovations seemed to be underway. We appreciated having a microwave and refrigerator.2016-06-27"
"I didn't feel like my vehicle was safe in the motel parking lot since there were people there making noise all night.2015-10-03"
"Located in a safe neighborhood close to Thunder Valley Casino. The price was right. My room was clean, but the housekeeper forgot to put a bedspread on my bed. The toilet wouldn't stop running, so I fixed it. Good place to stay.2015-09-16"
"The coffee maker in my room didn't work. The shower curtain rod was loose, so water went all over the bathroom. We had to ask for more towels to mop up the water. Consider other hotels.2020-11-16"
"Nice, clean, and quiet. Bring your own pillows, though. I've stayed at this hotel many times, but I was disappointed that there was no breakfast and parking cost $5.2021-04-16"
"Huge hotel. Great rates, but don't expect anything spectacular. The carpet in our hotel room was old and sticky, and the curtains were nasty. So were the linens and bathroom walls. 2017-02-24"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
