"This was the worst motel ever. Don't stay here.2020-08-21"

"Not much within walking distance except Roscoe's Restaurant. The hotel was old but clean and well-kept, and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was minimal but adequate.2018-07-27"
"I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel, and it was the small things that bothered me. There was no creamer for my coffee, no cover for the ironing board, and no bar soap provided. The room was freezing when I arrived, and the heater smelled bad when I turned it on. I ended up turning it off and wearing a sweater to bed. The coffee stand was unreasonably slow, and the breakfast potatoes were french fries. The only good things were the free WiFi and baggage hold after checkout. Stay somewhere else.2018-10-12"
"Convenient to the rail depot, and a decent walk to downtown for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel room was clean and quite spacious. Our room keys were deactivated every day, which required a trip to the front desk to have them re-set. The front desk staff wasn't welcoming and answered questions curtly. Still, I recommend staying here.2021-08-04"
"The room was well-maintained, the hotel staff was extremely welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing.2019-05-26"
"Near the train station, and close to downtown but away from the traffic. The hotel had a wonderful view of the river. Surprisingly large, clean room, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. This will be our go-to hotel when we're in town.2016-01-19"
"Good place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel clerks were friendly and efficient. Delicious breakfast with many choices. The airport shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful.2018-05-07"
"Good value. The hotel room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the bed was great. Friendly employees. The parking lot was shared, and it was sometimes hard to find a spot.2016-02-17"
"Nice place. All the hotel employees I interacted with were helpful and gracious. Breakfast was complimentary, had many options, and the omelets were exceptional.2023-02-10"

"Our hotel room was average and had too many cots in it; we couldn't even get to the closet because of this issue. I don't recommend staying here.2019-09-06"

"I arrived at the hotel to find that my room was in an annex down the block. The walk at night was scary due to the behavior of drunk people on the street. The annex was creepy, and there were no employees on duty. My room was a throwback to the 1980s. There was hair on the blanket. I went back to the main building and asked for a refund; instead I was offered a room there. The furnishings were dated, and the bedsheets and pillowcases were stained. There was lotion in the bathroom, but no soap or shampoo, and the towels were dingy. This is not a place you want to stay.2018-05-01"
"The hotel shuttle picked me up promptly from the airport.2015-04-07"

How Do We Define Motel?
To us, motels are smaller lodgings that have rooms you can enter directly from the parking area.
At hotels, on the other hand, you can enter your room only through a hall inside the building.
Hotel Booking Tips
Beware of non-refundable reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them. +Non-refundable reservations are a gamble that will usually save you less than $10. If you make a $90 non-refundable reservation instead of a $100 refundable booking, you are betting $90 to win $10. Would you do that in Las Vegas? -
Don't assume you can cancel a non-refundable reservation without penalty if you notify the hotel weeks or even months in advance. +Often you cannot because some hotels' profit strategy is to get paid more than once for the same room for the same night. -
Always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation. + When is the latest date and time you can cancel without penalty? - More >
When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Take a copy with you to the hotel.
The earlier in the afternoon you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.
